Most comfortable boots on the market
I love these boots, most comfortable boots I ever wore, I wear them about 14 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I have owned my "barn boots" for over 3 years. In year two the soles came off of the rest of the boot. I bought Gorilla Glue Gel, and after glueing used a vice and after 2 days I had my boots back. That fix has lasted over 1 year, and alas, the ball of the foot area above the sole is finally cracking and wearing out. Not bad for the abuse I have given them ie: barn work in muck and mire. I will replace them with the same. Love these boots, and yes the breaking in period is rough, but well worth it.

Everything & all day!
This is the third pair I've ordered -& am expecting to order many more because THEY ARE PERFECT! I teach, ride & do barn chores six days a week 8-14 hour days. They are so easy to slip on & off when it's time to pull on the tall boots (dressage), I can safely hop on a horse to demo for a student with them on and comfortably teach the rest of the time -I'm a 'walk around a lot' type of instructor. Barn chores-no problem, climbing ladders-no problem, support for bum knee-no problem, shove bare feet into (broken in pair) boots for emergency midnight colic check -no problem (& horse made it). Grocery shopping after teaching-no problem because they don't track ...some kind of magic sole. We tracked ourselves and our average daily walking exceeded 7 MILES -not counting actual riding. (Pasture turnouts add up!) I wear out the tread on the soles before I kill the leather, which is pretty impressive for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Love these boots
I bought these just for the barn. To replace shoes that were hurting my feet. The problem is that I have fallen in love with them and wear them everywhere now. So now I have to buy a second pair for regular wear (barn boots get dirty) and now my daughter wants a pair. Needless to say, my husband isn't happy with them. They do take some breaking in around the calf, but it wasn't bad at all. And my feet were so happy that I didn't mind.

a little big
Instead of believing the reviews, I bought my regular size. Definitely a half-size too big. But other than that, they seem like pretty good boots. a "little" on the heavy side, but should be good for winter.

Wore nearly every day for three years
These boots are fantastic. Seriously, that's the best way to describe them. I've subjected my pair to serious abuse for three years now and they just started to fall apart this summer. Granted, I didn't take the best care of them and they're still serviceable, but I'm still pretty impressed. I wear them almost every day, year round. I hike in them, I wear them to the barn, I sometimes ride in them (if I'm feeling lazy!, and they're incredible winter boots. Plus, they look really cute with fall/ winter outfits! Definitely planning on buying a new pair.

I have never had such a versatile paddock boot before and that I could stand in for 8+hrs a day ! I love you ariat!!! They do run about a 1/2 size big though :)

are these boots true to size? If you are a true size 9 do you order these paddock boots by ariat in size 9?
A shopper on May 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wear a size 10 and bought a size 10. I feel they are roomy, but I like it because I can wear thicker socks than I could with the Devon Pros
R they zippers?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No zippers, just elastic panels on the sides. Easy on and off.
which half chaps work best with the barnyard paddock boot?
giddyup on Mar 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use the all rounder half chaps and they fit great! I wish I could find a pair in brown to match. This are the best boots I have had for riding. I love them more than the Devon Pros I have always used. They will break in after a couple of uses so don't panic when you first wear them.
are these boots leather?
ME B on Mar 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are leather. They are very comfortable and hold up pretty well. I wear them almost every day to muck stalls and catch horses and ride. I'm on my 2nd pair, tho the last pair has some life left in them, but aren't very good in the wet anymore, they are a few years old and get worn all the time.
Are these boots waterproof leather?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The leathers are and there is a waterproof boogie in the construction of the boot.
