So far so good,Has a tendency slip between the outer pad when the saddle is mounted. I might attach velcro. No more rubs so far.

Great pad for horses with back issues.
I purchased this in hopes it would give my mare some shoulder/back relief by warming her up more quickly and continue comfort throughr ride. She seems happier and more relaxed. I can't say about durability as I've just begun to use it.

How thick is the pad?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The pad is very thin somewhere around 3/8. It is meant as a under pad. I love mine. Its easy to wash and it keeps your regular pad clean. My horses seem to like it also. They no longer have a sore back after a long day of riding.
I am hoping to use this with my 15H Appendix barrel racing gelding who has a tendency to have soreness at T15-16 and lower lumbers. Will this slip at all under a 3/4 " felt pad?
LInnea P on Aug 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Linnea, I use the B-O-T Therapeutic western saddle pad under a 1/2" shock-absorbing type pad on my 15.1 western pleasure gelding and neither of the pads slip at all. Having said that, the top pad isn't felt, and we're not running barrels, so I can't say for sure that it won't! I can say that the Back On Track pad is VERY contoured, so it fits a lot better than any other pad I've used (no bunching or wrinkling). I'm really happy with it! Hope this helps!
What is the actual thickness of this pad?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: About 3/8 inch thick.
