Great for Mini's or Ponies!
I have bought several for my Mini's as it is a short Lead with a small snap. I would not recommend for larger horses as they do not hold up well for them! I love the variety of colors and the low price!

Good soft lead
I have sensitive hands and I love the feel and price of this lead.

Miniature Sized Lead
This lead rope would be more effective as a dog leash or for miniature horses. It is indeed nothing more than a 1/2 inch in diameter. Might be suitable for a child with a small pony due to size of rope. It might do for the quick moving around of horses, but I wouldn't recommend tying most horses with this rope. Because I work with a lot of young horses, this lead rope will stay in the house as a dog leash and nothing more. I was hoping to have just an extra lead in case I needed it, or for when we were getting pictures done due to the pretty color combo (I got the denim/blue/cream one). The color combo is gorgeous, but the lead is cheap. The end of the rope next to the snap is taped with regular tape you would buy from the store. The other end does have a plastic covering, but if you have a horse that chews, I would not use this lead rope around them period in fear of it being a choking hazard.
Cheap lead for daily use.
We use these leads daily moving horses. Not strong enough for pulling back or tie out but good to use moving horses from the barn to the turn out they are perfect.

it's a good rope
love the colors and how soft they are but I find them a bit too short and the bolt snap is a bit weak if your horse pulls back while tied they will brake.

A good basic lead line at a good price
This is a good basic lead rope. I do not think I have ever had a 1/2 inch rope break... The snap is always the first to go... then the metal clamp. The snaps and clamps look usual enough. The end has a plastic cap on it to prevent unraveling? I will see how long that holds up. I usually end up braiding the ends back in, to make a knot at the end so the lead will not slip out of my hand. Six feet is more than long enough for almost anything! Scares the heck out of me when I see a child or experienced person leading a horse around with a big, fat, long lead rope.... The extra is always dangling, dragging, or wrapped around them! #1 cause of horse related death is dragging! While there could be a bigger color selection, they are pretty enough!

Dont bother
I laughed when i pulled the rope (aka string) out of the box. Might be a good size for a mini or a small child to hold IF it didn't literally fall apart when i tugged my horse out of the grass! The rope came right out of the metal clip.

good value
Just needed a shorter, lighter lead rope to keep clipped on my saddle. This one is perfect, with a good price, and the colors of brown, gold, white match my tack and my palomino!

good for what you pay
I bought 2 of these lead ropes specifically as back up "uh oh" lead ropes for my horse trailer. they aren't anything fancy but they do the job.

depends on if you have a pony or horse
Didn't realize they were so small, great color but scared to put them on my big, I'm afraid something it will break of he pulls too hard

Because there is a never - ending shortage of lead ropes at any barn and these were on sale for a reasonable price.
Chelsea S on Nov 30, 2015
have bought before and were solid for the price, plus soft in the hand and doesn't burn as badly as the nylon and poly leads if you have a horse that pulls.

seemed like it wouldn't be too long for use when riding.

what is the length of this lead line?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 6' long. And pretty dainty. I actually use the two I bought as cross ties and purchased more substantial ones to use as leads.
Is the white the natural?
A shopper on Mar 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Sorry, I didn't order the white.
How long is it???
A shopper on Jul 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This leads are 6 ft.
How long are they?
A shopper on Oct 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Maybe 5 feet. Very short. I use mine for a dog leash because I didn't feel it was strong enough for a horse.
