Halter Cheek Savers help
I use these on a grazing muzzle halter. They protect my horse from rub marks. Easy to use and seem to hold up.

Great idea!
These are a little pricey for something so simple, but they are really a great item. I have a colt on long term stall rest, that must remain standing, which requires him to wear a halter 24/7. We're already two months into a 4-month rest and he started getting rubs from the halter, where the cheek piece meet the nose piece (so the opposite end of the cheek piece than what is shown in the photo). These have helped immensely. His rubs have healed and the hair is starting to grow back. I'm glad I found this product.

Does not stay on
I uses this on a grazing muzzle and the velcro always comes loose during the day. If you were just using on a halter or bridle while riding it should work great.

If you can sew...these are great.
My gelding has Brad Pitt cheekbones. Any halter rubs his face raw. These protect him very well. The only caveat? Save yourself some time and sew them to your horse's favorite halter, otherwise, plan on spending hours searching the paddocks and fields for these little pieces of material. The Velcro just won't hold if they like to roll in the grass.

protects if it stays on
I bought these for my mare after seeing how great they protected my gelding's cheeks from halter rub spots, but forgot that the velcro didn't do the job for very long! My mare lost both cheek savers in the pasture a day after I put these on her halter. I forgot I had to sew them on to my gelding's halter a few years back to stop the problem. As soon as I find them in the pasture I will do so. They've held up great and performed wonderfully for my gelding(after sewing them on) for several years now.

Absolutely LOVE these.
I absolutely love these! They are so soft and comfortable! I found them as I had been looking for a way to keep the halter from rubbing on our 29 year old Appoloosa mare who was laid to rest last year after fighting a brave fight with cancer. After that I had to have them for all of our horses halters because they just looked like they were so much more comfortable with them on:0) We have only lost one in the paddock and not been able to find it so I am ordering extras to have on hand! Would love to see these in colors as a fun way to accent horse halters and find them easier if they do fall off as well!Although have only had one fall off in the almost two years I have had them on my horses! I'd say that is fantastic.

These work great ...I sewed them to the halter so my horses does not rub them off when she rolls.

Just happened to come across these two years ago - what a treat! Occasionally mare came in with one or both missing so might be easier to find in pasture if a different color but did a great job protecting her checks. Wouldn't hesitate to get these again!

My horse's hair is really sensitive on his body and head and hair rubs off from the rings.

I've had issues with snaps rubbing cheeks and these sound like a good idea to prevent that from happening
