How is the sizing on this blanket? My horse normally wears a 76.
Susan J on Feb 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi! My horse wears a 75 and that is what I got for him in the Bucas Light Power. It fits him just fine and he is not an easy horse to fit. When he comes in from turnout I have found the blanket is pulled down on one side and because of the lining it does not go back into place on its own and I have to really tug and pull to get it back in place - that said, he seems to do that with a lot of blankets so I think it is definitely him versus the blanket! Depending upon your horse, I don't know if I would go down to a 75 (?). My horse is 15.2 and solidly built but shoulders are not huge - this 75 fits perfectly but I could Not have gone any smaller. In a few other brands (Shires, for example) he takes a 76 and they fit him very well. Depending on your horse's build, it seems the only option for you would be to go up to 78 in this Bucas. I don't know if the Bucas website might be helpful - they have some videos available. Quality is lovely and great for fluctuating temperatures. Hope this helps and good luck!
