Hoping to get involved in mounted shooting.

I have a horse that gets upset around the fourth of July (can't really blame him- our neighbors have a party each year and blast big fireworks in their drive which is on the back side of our barn) I am purchasing these in hopes of blocking some of these noises out if even a little. I usually crank up the radio in the barn but I'm sure that isn't any fun either. Fingers crossed.

Is it difficult to get the plug out of the ear without the string?
Mary B on Oct 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's more difficult to get the rest plug to stay in. The moment we put it in our Mare would just shake and shake till it came out,of usually at the most two shakes.
Would this help a horse that doesn't like the sound of a rope being swung?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It may. It's the kind of thing these are designed for. Unfortunately there's no way to know for sure up front before you try them out whether they will keep that horse from reacting.
are these for dogs?
al j on Apr 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They would be to big for dogs
