I bought this girth last month and so far I really like it. I needed a soft, thick, cushy girth with absolutely no seams or edges anywhere near my mare's skin, and this fits the bill. The slightest non-smooth surface gives her a rub, but so far this one hasn't. I've never had a girth with elastic at both ends, either, and I'm sure that also contributes to the comfort. I was tired of washing a roster of fleece covers (which also picked up every burr & hay seed) -- this one just sponges off. I did see another review that mentioned a wish for a keeper strap for the billets to pass through before they buckle, and I agree. But that's the only thing I'd change about it so far.

So far so good
I have only used this a couple of times ,but no rubs so far and that was my primary reason for trying it. I've been using fleece girths for the last few years but keeping them clean is a pain. The upper part of the girt shifts a bit, It would be nice if the gullet straps went through the top of the girth before the buckles.

Great girth at a reasonable price. My horse actually seems to like it!
I have had my beautiful old English saddle for probably 25 years but have not used it for almost 10. Recently got a new horse and dug out the saddle; found it fits the new guy really well, except the old girth was just not going to work. This girth fits really well, especially being contoured to fit easily behind his front legs. There's no rubbing; the neoprene is a great surface; and the elastic is just perfect-- gives just enough to cinch comfortably without pinching the horse's chest. Love it!

I needed a dressage style girth to go with my Wintec Wide. This one looked nice, and had a good price.

Want a neoprene girth, because we do a lot of trail riding and I don't want to have any fleece to clean up.

My horse is allergic to lanolin. Do you know if this Girth has any lanolin in it? Thank you for your answer.
A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't know about lanolin--Cashel could answer that. But, my horse has very sensitive skin and gets girth irritations easily. I have never had a problem with this girth,
Can you please explain how the sizing works for this girth?
A shopper on Jan 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I believe that you measure from buckle to buckle.
Since this girth stretches on both ends, should I size down?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: My personal opinion, I don't think so. The stretch at either end is a "hard" stretch, not a loose, soft type of stretch, and I use my horse's regular girth size. I love this girth! Just be really careful to protect the cushy neoprene from nicks and scratches so it stays as a smooth surface against your horse's skin.
would this girth work on a Australian saddle?? are the buckles wide enough?
ayla f on May 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I worked for one my girlfriend has and I bought it for my treeless trail saddle that my friends thought was a aussie saddle. I love this girth and works well for my walker. Apologize for not being so specific.
