Cashel Western Contour Cushion Pad

Correction Cushion Pads are specially designed to aid in providing optimal comfort and protection as well as to help adjust the fit of your saddle against the horse. They provide an easy way to help horses with muscle atrophy behind the shoulder or other conformational obstacles through the balanced distribution of saddle pressure. They go label side up with your saddle directly on top. Gradually decreasing in thickness from front (1-1/4") to back (1/2"). Recommended for use over a navajo, felt liner, or quilted pad. Clean with water and store on a smooth surface.

Have a young growing horse with some issues getting a proper fit on a saddle. Seems worth trying.

Will it work on a short backed sway backed Arab?
A shopper on Nov 6, 2016
Best Answer: This pad measures 28" x 30" (30" is the drop side to side), if that is a size that will work for your Arab.

Looks like this pad will help with my high withered/hollowed/wide shouldered gelding. Only concern is it will make the already kind of tight saddle tighter. Or will this prop the saddle up so to speak to relieve that issue.?
S F on Jul 5, 2016
Best Answer: This pad is made to raise the saddle.

I recently bought 2 brand new diamond wool pads, and though I like the quality, they DO compress a lot and my mare needs more support under her withers. It's been suggested that I get her a built up pad (but I just spent $200 on brand new pads).... Will this serve the same purpose when used with my wool pad? Thank you!
Riley M on Apr 17, 2016
Best Answer: I would suggest using a 1/2" felt pad liner/protector.

What are the dimensions of this pad? What is the material?
Riley M on Apr 17, 2016
Best Answer: It has a neoprene bottom, which makes it slicker than snot. I use a felt liner pad under mine. Your horses back will get hot due to the pad is solid neoprene. I help my high withered, wide shouldered TWH saddle fitment.
