Going to Montana to a working ranch. Used this same pad several years ago. Works really well when you can't take your own saddle with you and you don't know how the one you use is going to fit.

Not enough cushion
Inside material was too firm for making much of a cushion for my saddle.

Improves comfort, but not tailored to saddle
I bought this item the end of January, and since it's winter I've only ridden twice a week. The cushion improves rider comfort, but it doesn't conform to the seat (you can place your fingers between the edge and the saddle). The edges were very noticeable the first two rides, but I don't notice them now. I wish the tag was sewn on the "wrong" side (where the cantle strap is sewn across the seat area), but overall I'm basically satisfied with it.
Contrary to the product photo, it does not conform to the seat.

Reinforcement strap kills it for me.
I have happily been purchasing these seat cushions for many years. However, the recent versions of this seat cushion have a nylon support strap across the bottom, against the saddle, which feels like a lump. When posting against this lump, it is causing abrasions on my seat. I post in my western style endurance saddle when trotting - lots as I do endurance riding. I sadly can no longer use this seat cushion.

Just what I wanted!
I like this so well that I just ordered another one for a different saddle! It stays secure and makes long rides a lot more comfortable.

So glad I found this. Makes my good saddle great! Thank You.
So glad I found this. It stays tight to my saddle seat and feels like part of my saddle. I am 75 and riding again and this is wonderful.Thank You.

This really does makes a big difference!
I had the opportunity to really use the cushion today and man did it make a huge difference for me. I bought it because I went on a long trail ride, not too rough terrain, but my tush begged to differ. Well today, using the cushion, it's a whole different story. The cushion stayed in place perfectly, didn't bunch/move etc after full on gallop repeatedly, absolutely no soreness whatsoever and just plain old comfortable. I highly recommend this and plan on getting a second one for a friend.

Lives up to its claims
I purchased a Cashel Tush Cushion 7 years ago for my daughter who didn't have her own padding. It is comfortable, easy to install, doesn't slip around and is very durable. Easy to clean too. 100% satisfied with it.

Planning a nine day elk hunt in Colorado on horseback. I'll need the added comfort on those long days over rough terrain. Cushion had great reviews.

Is this blue or black?
Sandy B on Mar 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Tush Cush that I have is black. My 3 daughters and I have used these for many years. They work and last very well.
