Gel Pads
These gel pads came in handy made my horses boots fit better

Other products work better
These are great but they don't last but a few rides. We are now using inner tubes from tractors that are working much better and they are free.

Poor Quality
These wore through in a very short time. Very thin. Thinner than the gel insoles you buy for human shoes. Disappointing since Cavallo boots are great quality.

Does not hold up to repeated use
Bought these with the Cavallo Sport boots in hopes it would add some cushion and help keep the wear in the actual boot to a minimum while waiting for the farrier to come out and smooth out the rough edges after my mare lost both her front shoes. These pads are thin and very gel like, not unlike what would be used in a persons shoes, however they do not hold up to the pressure of a 1100lb horse. Both pads shredded during the first use.

they're okay
I just got the cavallo sport boot and had these in them. I tried without the gel pads first and then with them. Using them definitely seemed to make my horse more willing to pick his feet up higher, and just in general he seemed more comfortable. When he see's them out and I ask for his foot he seems to pick up his foot instantly w/ no complaint, when sometimes he pretends to ignore me a little. For the horse's sake I think they're worth every penny. But I have used these for about two weeks now and maybe it's just my horse, but his hooves are like wearing holes into the pads. The boot doesn't budge on his foot when I try to move it, but the pads are wearing out way faster than I expected. The pads are wearing out towards the back of the hoof, like where the hoof walls are on either of the frog. I want to see if putting duck tape there might help prevent it when I get my next set of gel pads. hope this helps. I think there definitely worth a try.

I have a gelding that wears a size 2 but when he is freshly trimmed his boots have a little extra space. I've never had trouble with his boots coming off or rubbing but was trying the pads to see if they would help with the loose fit when he's been trimmed.

Friend recommendation. Seems to fill the boot slightly and give a more secure fit. May prolong the life of the boot as well
