Great boots!
We have hard clay soil and many stones. We try to keep the trails clean but stones seem to come out of nowhere! My horse was stumbling and we could only walk. We have been in a serious drought so it was worse than usual. All those stones also made him foot-sore. These hoof-boots are terrific! They are a perfect fit and he hasn't lost one yet. I am very pleased with them. I thought they were a little pricey but there are other kinds that cost much more. I wasn't sure they would be substantial enough but so far, they are fine. I use them only for riding not for grazing in the fields.

Best boot we have found yet
They are very durable and they stayed on. Ever other boot we tried would not stay on the horse.

Works Well for me
I bought these as therapeutic boots for all my horses (one pair). I bought them big and place padding in them to keep them from moving about too much as they walk in them. I put them on one of my horses recently (first time using them) and she wore them for 5 days straight. I checked them every two days to ensure nothing was wrong, which there wasn't. Yesterday, I took my horses over to another pasture and they were extremely happy to be there. The mare that had the boots on was feeling so much better. She galloped and ran full out with the boots on and then the boots both came off. I picked them up and they were fine. No tears. Just the flaps in the front are frayed on the edges a little. Because she wore the boots and after she "ran them off" she trotted on the paved road barefoot when she wouldn't even walk on the pavement before. These helped her feel better, but did take a little beating on the canvass material.

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we only offer sizes 1-4.
how do I know what size to get?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: scroll down from the price, look for downloadable resources, there is a size chart with a printable measuring chart. Be sure to use it, if your horse's feet are "long" meaning it's been 4 weeks or more since trimming, go to the lower size or get them trimmed first then measure{the best way}

I am looking for a hoof boot to put over shoes. My horse has sliders and he slides getting out of trailer and has hurt himself 1 time. All I need is a light weight boot with tread to keep him from sliding. Any suggestions?

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we do not carry a boot made to go over shoes.

BEST ANSWER: Very easy to put on and adjust; they stay on well on rough terrain. Good quality. I tried two other brands but am most satisfied with these. Will be getting another pair for my other horse.
Can you use these hoof boots for trail riding?
Suzie on Feb 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Good for shorter trail rides. For faster riding or longer rides, may need the pastern wrap as well, or an easy boot.
