My horse wears these 24/7
My horse had a bad founder incident a year ago. She has worn these 24/7 since then. I have never had any issues with these, no rubs, has never come off, doesn't turn. I can't say enough good things about these boots. I don't think that my horse would be here today without these. I live in Michigan and she lives completely outdoors. No issue with snow or ice building up on these.

Totally ruined after one pasture ride. Fine for arenas, though.
I purchased these for a sore footed horse, and she did very well in them. However, the first time I rode her out in them they filled with cheat grass seeds. The cheat grass (similar to foxtail, but smaller) so inundated the velcro that it is now useless, despite hours of trying to clean it. When I took the boots off after our ride there was about a cup of seeds inside each boot. I contacted the company but they had no suggestions for cleaning the velcro, and were unable to replace it. So my new pair of boots was used once, and can be used no more. Beware! These are not for use in the country.

These boots are the best and they stay on even riding thru sucking mud. All 3 of my horses have their own boots and they love them.
Bubba has had his pair the longest. This is the 4th year of wearing them. He trots and canters in them with ease. They work well in rocky terrain or muddy. They stay on real well. My gaited horse also has the pastern wraps to go with his boots. The other two trotting horses did not need the wraps.

Awesome alternative to shoeing!
My horse is an OTTB and has a bad time with shoeing because of a healed knee injury. Instead of fighting and stressing his out to be shod every 8 weeks, I bought a pair of Cavellos and WE love them! They fit perfect most of the time except when he is freshly shod, I use the gel inserts to give a better fit. Trimming the hoof first then measuring is essential. We go on trail rides and just around the neighborhood and he is not tender when walking on rocks and debris anymore! They don't slip on the different ground textures and he seems to have a little pep in his step when we use them. Recommended!

Be careful on sizing
After reading previous reviews and caparing the size to another pair of boots, I ordered a size 2, even though the measurement chart indicated a size 3. The size 2 fit perfectly. I thank other reviews which showed their boots too large after measuring with the chart and ordering.

Great boot for most applications, NOT for WEEDY TRAILS
These are good boots in many ways. Very easy to get on, inexpensive, durable, good grip, good fit, no rub marks, stay on well and stay straight. However, if your trails have weeds and stickers, you will want to invest in a different boot. EVERY nook and cranny fills with foxtails, including all of the velcro, which makes it not work anymore. The inside holds almot a cup of stickers once they pack themselves in. To get them out, you must curry comb the velcro for 15 minutes each, which ruins it and pulls the stitching out. I have tried vet wrap to keep the stickers out to no avail, it just bunches up at the ankles. Bell boots might work, but they'd have to be rubber and tight around the ankle. These have only been on a few rides with me and are already becoming useless due to the stickers. I never found any review mentioning this issue, so I thought I'd try to save some people riding like trails their time and money!

Easier to put on than easy boots. Haven't had any come off in mud or otherwise. I've used both easy boots and these and I like these better.

These are great. We refer to them as horse "tennis shoes", however they are much more of horse "hiking boots". Sizing chart works very well. I have one horse with very sensitive feet and these do the trick for him!

Amazing Boot !!!
I was out on a trail ride in the mountains and it was rocky, a friend of mine loaned me a pair of her Cavello boots for my mare, the combination of simplicity, comfort, and durability these boots provided my mare on our ride was unbeatable. I decided right then, these were the boots I just had to purchase for myself. I've used Easy boots, and others in the past, and these far surpassed any other boot on the market today!!! A must have for any active horseman!

Cavallo Simple Hoof Boots
I love these boots. My mare has really bad feet. They are brittle and flat. We are planning on putting shoes on her whenever her feet grow out- if they do. But because we still want to ride her, we bought these boots. They rarely move and keep her feet well protected. They also serve as an excellent "spare tire" for our other horses in case one of them were to loose a shoe out on a trail. I am very please with the quality as well. They have stayed perfectly together. They are also relativly easy to clean. Overall, I am extremely please with this product. The only drawback that I found with this item was that it rubbed slightly on her corronet band after a few hours. It would be best used with the sock that they sell separatly.

To replace the other set of Cavallo Simple Boots that I have. They work great, but after several years of use, they are falling apart.
SHIRLEY K on Aug 26, 2017
I go on out of town rides, and never know what the ground will be like. These are great for horses who don't need shoes, but at times end up on hard or rocky surfaces for temporary use.

I used one on my horse who had several abscesses one after the other. His hoof needed to be protected for quite awhile. This boot held up well but eventually needed to be replaced.

Is this price for one or two boots?
A shopper on Jun 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Two. So far my horse and I like them. She has a funny hoof size, wider than length and they stay on.
My vet has recommended boots for all day turn out due to thin soles. Will these boots be safe for daily, all day turn out?
A shopper on Oct 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't like this style of boot. They won't stay on even though they fit. The straps don't stay attached. The boot with the single closure works much better. They are effective and safe.

How do you keep weeds and foxtails out of Velcro? Once the weeds get in how do you remove?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I've seen people place a square of duct tape over the Velcro area. Perhaps that would work for you.
I have a horse with the navicular bone almost coming thru because of founder..what kind of boot should I use?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That very much depends on the degree of founder, the horse's living situation, and the size of the hoof. Several hoof boots are specifically targeted for horses with founder, such as the EasyCare Easyboot Rx Therapy Hoof Boot (item BGB17), the EasyCare New Mac Boots (item E015322), the EasyCare Easyboot Cloud Hoof Boot (item E015315), or the Hoofix Comfy Boot (item E015143). We very highly recommend that you check with your horse's veterinarian and farrier first to see what they think is best for your horse.
