Product Summary:

Cavallo Sport Regular Sole Hoof Boots

Cavallo Sport Regular Sole Hoof Boots are simple front-fastening with industrial grade Velcro® closures. They are simple to put on and take off, and stay securely on-hoof. They are shaped for the natural hoof with a moulded-in back flap for bulb protection and abrasion resistance. Durably constructed with a waterproof tread, rustproof metal, and high-performance TPU outsole, they are lightweight and have built-in drainage. Healthy hooves are promoted by allowing expansion and contraction, and increased blood circulation. See measuring and sizing info at right.

Features:

  • Outside tread pattern supports the hoof wall
  • All-terrain tread minimizes build-up of mud, sand, and debris
  • Excellent traction while still allowing natural movement
  • Recessed center of outsole minimizes pressure
  • Built-in sole relief: raised inner rim takes pressure off sole, bars and frog
  • Absorbs shock so your horse's legs don't need to
  • Sole width same as sole length
  • Softee leather foam-filled collar for comfort and protection
  • 1000 Denier nylon upper is tough and durable
  • Reflective for safer riding
  • Sold in pairs

How many boots in the package?
Julie S on Sep 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These particular boots come as a set. So you get a pair.
I have a 19yo QH with navicular. He is much improved with natural balance shoes, but still has some tripping issues when he encounters rocks out in the field. Will these boots help his comfort and reduce the tripping? Can they be worn over shoes?
Janice P on Sep 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Can't tell you how they do over shoes, and if to help with tripping; is the tripping because he's not picking up his feet or stepping on stones that bother his sole? We use these boots on three riding horses that are barefoot otherwise (congrats on using natural balance on your horse) It is nice to ride out of our swampy area to gravel and not have them going ouchy, In their boots, they walk as well on gravel as grass. I would recommend the Trek boot for it's hardiness and ease to put on and take off. We had problems with the sport tabs coming open, were always checking to see if the boots were OK. The tops of the boots don't take wear and tear as well as the treks. The treks stay closed better, I also use a hair tie over the velcro. Cavallo is very good about standing by their product.. Another benifit to using boots is that you can pad them as needed for different hoof issues. A friend used the sports on a navicular mare with success.
whats the difference between the regular boot and sport boot?
A shopper on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The difference that I found is style and the sport boot had better sizing. My horse has a short toe and a wide foot. The regular boots wouldn't fit him but the sport boot does.
Do you just get one? Or do you get the whole set?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They come as a set. The Treks come incividually and are worth the extra $. My horse wearing the Sports did well but the sports didn't hold up and tore from the rough terrain we ride through. Cavallo said I should ride on better trails. I told them that they advertise them for endurance riders, are the falsely advertising? They replaced the boots , shipping included, w/o me having to return so I mended the pair I have and now have new ones too.
