Worth the investment
Make sure you measure your horse correctly! Look up videos online of fitting guides too. I have these boots for both my horses and theyre awesome! We ride through mud, water, brush and everything oregon terrain has to throw at us. They wash off great and the break in period only takes like 2 short rides. Ive convinced all my friends to buy these. Great for winter months when you dont want to shoe or if you don't ride often enough to keep regukar shoes on your horses. Mine do not rotate, rub or come loose during riding. The key is to measure correctly. Find someone who has the measuring tape or even see if you can buy one from cavallo boot company themselves. Most people always measure wrong and end up with too big. My draft crosses wear a 4 and 5. My friends paint mare wears a 3. Hope that helps!

The Boot Rotates
Even though we took every precaution with measuring these boots for my horse they will rotate when we ride. I've tried several things to keep the boot from doing this but haven't had any luck. The picture I've enclosed does not show the worst it can get.

Works great for gaited horses
I have a Paso Fino and these boots are working out great for him. His gaits are not impacted at all. I use them only on his front feet.I have tried 2 other brands and they were fine for the gaits, but I could not keep them on due to my gelding's over stride. So far, these boots have passed that test and I am loving it!!!!!

great product
I ordered 3 pair of the Cavallo Trek boots. We love to trail ride and go for hours. The terrain where we ride has lots of gravel on the hills and muddy in the bottoms. So far the boots stay on in the mud and my horses no longer have to tip toe on the gravel. My horses have good feet and they did not need shoes and the trek boot has made riding comfortable for my horses and affordable for me. I definitely recommend these boots. I ordered the pastern wraps and glad I did. Make sure to follow the sizing directions closely. I measured and ordered my boots according to the chart and they fit perfectly! No rubbing on my horses and they are easy to get on and off. We have been on two trail rides that were about five hours each so I'm not sure about the long term durability. The boots are holding up good so far.

Great trail boot
I purchased the Cavallo Trek Boot after I pulled the shoes off my horse so I could ride her while her feet get used to no shoes. She is still a little ouchy with the boot but the boot stays on great. Just have to be careful going down steep hills that are rocky as the boot will slip on the rocks. I had to order different sizes because her feet are a little different but the fit is good.

easy to use
So far these boots are really easy to use, protect my horses' feet, provide traction, are easy to clean, and are wearing well. I have only used them for a couple of weeks, so not sure if they well stand the test of time, but if they do then I'm a fan.

BEST ANSWER: Item is sold individually price for one boot
I have a gaited horse. Will these boots inhibit gaiting, or are they just for walking?
leslie q on Mar 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought these boots for my quarter horse to transition her from shoes to no shoes. They fit very well and worked very well also on the trail and I live in a pretty mountainous area. Don't know about a gaited horse but they worked very well for us.
Can the boots be worn everyday in the pasture?
horses_azz on Dec 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes I think they could. I would check them to make sure there are no rub marks since they will be on a long time, and also no stones got into the boot.
Are these sold in pairs and how do i know what size i need? I have a curly/draft horse. Has sore feet after trimming and also ouchy on rocks.
