are these split reins?

BEST ANSWER: Notice that there is a buckle joining the reins together. You can unbuckle them but I would not advise it. Today while riding, a tree branch caught and tugged the rein out of my right hand. I was thankful that they were buckled together. These reins are sufficient length unbuckle them though.
How long are these reins?

BEST ANSWER: I do not have them at hand right now but they are very long. I think they are made for large horses. My horse is only 15 hands and they are just too long. If you have a larger horse I think you would be fine. I plan to try to cut them to make them shorter. They are great otherwise. I love them
