New Favorite Cinch!
Quality made from a trusted brand. Love that these cinches absorb sweat and are very soft for the horse. You can definitely feel the difference in fiber quality between these and a synthetic or blended synthetic cinch, there's just no comparison. Worth the extra money for pure alpaca/mohair fibers! I used to use neoprene cinches but have discovered after switching, these alpaca/mohair cinches really keep the horse cooler and more comfortable. My horses are not nearly as sweaty and it's nice to use a natural fiber that will move with the horse. I've read that the leather center will start to curl, I have not experienced this. Every several rides I clean the cinch and recondition the leather to maintain its pliability. I purchased two of these cinches and after a summer of use they still look brand new. Highly recommend these cinches, or any pure mohair or alpaca cinch for that matter. I've included photos of my cinches after cleaning/leather conditioning, front and back view.

My horse has a short back. My felt cinch is to wide and rubs her leg. What is your recommendation for a cinch?
Joanne D on Aug 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, my horse Tilo, also has a short back. However, the place where the chinch naturally wants lay depends on your horse's heart girth. Tilo's heart girth is quite forward and every so often we do get a girth gall if I do not stretch out her front legs (No matter which cinch). I love this cinch, it is easy to clean and has lots of give her to breathe and be comfortable during our adventures. Hope this helps and happy trails!
