Prefer the wool pads
This is a very nice pad and will last for years. I was looking for a rounded one to go with our round skirt saddles so just trimmed this one up a bit and restitched the edges, works good.

Simple, durable saddle pad
I like the wool pad, and it works well under a more colorful show type pad. The cutout is great, and fits and wears wonderfully. Very happy with this product.

This is my second one, EXCELLENT PAD!
I use this under my show pads for my cutting and reining events. and on the trail. Diamond wool makes great pads I have two under pads like this one and two shim pads.. love those too so adjustable! But anyway I love that you can get these in different sizes such as 1/2", 3/4" etc. so it is just right for my saddles. No slipping, no irritation to the horse and VERY durable.

Great show pad liner!
This is a much better quality than the thinner pad liners I've been using. It contours to the horse's back and just does a great job protecting the show pad from the horse and adds just enough extra lift for the saddle.Lovin' it!!

Nice pad
Very nice pad. Arrived promptly from manufacturer (4 days before other items I ordered). Looks to be very good quality. Please notice that it is "notched" for over the withers. I am using it rotated b/c my mare has very low withers and it is working fine.

Why did you choose this?

I wanted all wool but this one is less. I also wanted a rounded corner pad so will have to cut this one to fit as we use Aussie saddles. Oh well, its as close as I could get to what we need. Like the 1" thickness.

I chose this pad, because I know that wool is the best type of pad to use. It wicks away sweat and breaths a lot better than any other pads out there. This one is thin enough to be used with or without a blanket and durable for everyday use. I have yet to use it, but it got good reviews.

are these pads new or used?
janice d on May 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These liners are definitely new.
is this pad wool on the horse side?
Tina M on Nov 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: My pad is a liner . I use it under a blanket to protect the blanket and because wool BREATHES. I use it year round and would not consider anything other than 100 percent wool. I've tried other pads and feel that the Diamond Wool works best for my horse. I ride in some rugged terrain, in heat and in cold and have not had any problems. I've been using these pads for years.
