What is the difference on your saddles when it says like 17 and 17W?
Marybeth on Sep 13, 2014
Best Answer: Hi, I had this saddle but gave it away as it was too narrow for my quarter horse. The 17" measurement is for a regular size tree. 17W means it's a wide tree. These saddles have narrow gullets. The regular tree might fit a thoroughbred ok, but not a quarter horse, morgan, or arab. Make sure you take your horse's measurements before ordering.
