Draft horse size? 17h 1800 lb percheron...... :)
traci s on Nov 13, 2016
Best Answer: You have to shop for Aussi saddle with wide tree. The Kimberly saddle may have a wide tree option, but I've bought 2 and they are standard trees. Too narrow for a draft...??

where can i find replacement stirrups for this saddle?
lisa l on Apr 2, 2017
Best Answer: I switched the stirrups from my old saddle to the new one. But I'm sure you can find them online if you just google Austrialian saddle stirrups. I think I will eventually replace the over girth with a leather one too.

Is the saddle size supposed to be for the horse or rider? My boyfriend is 5'11 and has a big beer gut and wears size 38 pant size. He rides a Peruvian Paso mare about 15 hands and stocky but not fat body. What would be the best size for these two?
Naomi on Dec 13, 2015
Best Answer: Seat size is chosen for the rider, chamber width (regular or wide) is chosen for the horse. Here is a link to the sizing guide in the product description to help you decide:

Can you tell me the gullet size and channel size? I have a Friesian and your wide size does not appear to come with specifications on your webpage.
Julie M on Nov 6, 2016
Best Answer: Looking from the gullet at front –
Top of chamber area is 5” across at the top of the panels.
Bottom of the panels is 13” across (corresponds to tree point position).
Medium & wide chambers have the same measurements -- the difference between medium & wide is a steeper or flatter pitch.

Is this an English girth or a Western one (straps)?
Molly on Apr 18, 2016
Best Answer: This is an "Aussie" cinch. But, you can buy English to Western converters ( nylon ones I got were very affordable) and then put a standard western cinch on. This has become my go to saddle. Buy a bigger size than you think you need, trust me, the seat is comfortable, but runs "snug" at the size western you usually like. I like a 15" seat. I bought an 18" and its comfy!

any special girth for a paso fino?
Elaine L on Jul 13, 2015
Best Answer: This saddle comes with a 32" neoprene girth and a nylon overgirth. You would not need a different girth for your Paso Fino unless the included 32 inch one is not the size you need.
