are these sizes American or UK?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Here is the sizing chart for the original River Boot. The calf is 2 cm wider than the regular River Boot.
I just measured my calf. It's 18in around.
Also, I normally wear a 7.5, should I go to an 8?
Thank you, Karen S
Karen S on Nov 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hmmm, not sure either size would fit you -- they both show a calf circumference of less than 18". Here is a link to the size chart:
Are these boots waterproof above the foot?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they seem to be! These boots were the ones I wore all winter--several times this winter I had to wade through some above the ankle water and my boots were fine. Don't know how they would be if you had to stand in water for any prolonged period of time--I didn't have to do that. I live in Western Washington--it rains here a lot. My boots kept my feet dry and still look just as good as they did when I first got them. I get lots of compliments too.
I wear an 8.5in a square toed boot, but a 9 in a more pointed toe boot. I'm not sure what size I would need, plus I have a high instep...but can't stand too big boits. What is the return policy?
A shopper on Jul 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Returns can be made within 30 days of receipt so long as items are in new, unused condition with the original product tags and packaging. Please call our Customer Care team for assistance. We are available 8AM-8PM weekdays, Eastern time at 888-653-0026. Here is a link to our full Return Policy:
The base layer looks green in the first pic but brown in the second. Are they the same color? If so, is it an olive tint?
A shopper on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Purchased these for my wife. No Olive color what so ever. Slightly darker brown base color on cafe area and lighter to tan color for remaining.
will these boots stretch?
A shopper on Sep 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No. The leather gets more pliable but I wouldn't call it stretching.
What is the actual calf circumference in the wide version?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Here is a link to the size chart from the product description with the calf measurements for each size:
Do these have a spur rest?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No they don't. I do love mine though!
Are these boots warm? Suitable for winter riding?
Leah K on Dec 9, 2015
