Product Summary:

Ideal for the barefoot horse or for a horse that is difficult to keep booted. The attached gaiter provides extra protection to the hoof. Also helps keep the boot on during extreme conditions.

Using Easyboots® is a natural way to provide hoof protection, traction, treatment, cushioning and correction while allowing the horse to go barefoot at all other times. They fit snugly to the hoof, are lighter and last many times longer than standard steel plates. Properly fitted, they stay on as well as nailed-on shoes with an important advantage if an Easyboot is pulled off, the rider can put it right back on.

Sold individually.

Easyboot Sizing:
All Easyboot sizing has changed! You MUST re-measure your horse's feet and compare to the size chart below to insure a proper fit!

How to get the correct size boot for your horse:
(1) Measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
(2) Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight bearing point of the heel.
(3) Compare your measurement with the proper size chart below.
(4) Ideally, the width and length measurement will fit into the same Easyboot Epic™ size. If the width and length measurements indicate different Easyboot Epic sizes, select the larger Easyboot Epic size. If the width and length measurements are different by more than one size, EasyCare hoof boots are not recommended.

Good buy!
I got these for my navicular horse who is unsound without boots and pads, but his boots kept coming off. These stay on while galloping or jumping. They are awesome. I love them!

Love Love Love these boots
My first time buying boots for a horse and I am super pleased with these boots. They stay on through mud, rocks, water and did not twist, fall off or come unhinged once. We went on a trip to Custer park and Wind Cave National park in SD and rode all day with these boots. Never had any problems, did not cause any sores on feet. My horse has never worn boots before and acted like nothing was on her feet. Also impressed with the traction - went up some greasy hills no problem. Fit is very important and I like that the boot allows for some hoof growth so you don't have to constantly rasp/trim in order to get the boot on.

My Paso still gaits with these boots on!
I have purchased two different sizes. One set to use right after a trim and the next size larger to use when he has grown out and close to having another trim. I only use on the front feet as my Paso is tender footed in front. Seems to be okay in back. It didn't take him but a few strides to get use to them. It was very helpful that my trimmer measured him up for the boots. If you consider the cost of putting shoes on through out the riding season, the cost of using these are way more economical. They are harder to get on then other boots out there, but they STAY ON! You will get proficient in putting them on. I love them and feel very confident using them.

Great boots
I bought these boots and it was my first time buying any type of hoof boot. The site's representative was very helpful in getting me the right size and the boots were delivered to me faster than expected. So far I have taken my horse through all of his paces in them, through mud water rocks and up hills. He loves them and they do not rub even when his feet are wet and we continue to trot or lope. They are holding up well and are even very easy to get on once they mold to your horse's feet. They even fit him when his feet get long a few weeks after a trim. Great boots, loving them!

GREAT Product
I bought a set of these at another store for my tender-footed Floridian horse who now lives in Maryland. If make sure you measure for these after a fresh trim and follow the sizing chart to a T, you should have no problem with them coming off. I've galloped my horse in these and they have yet to shift. The gaiters are a great addition and because of the double velcro, don't come undone. I haven't used them in snow yet, but in the wet grass and mud they've been fine. They do take a bit of time to wiggle them on properly, but that doesn't bother me, and the makers openly suggest the use of a hoof pick to open the ratchet lever when taking them off. Also fine with me. The wires are replaceable if they fray. The most important thing is that my horse is happy in these. It took him only a few minutes to realize that the gravel didn't hurt anymore, and he was fine. No rub spots or sores.A nice extra is that while they are pricey up-front, I can take them off when I'm done with a ride so they last longer. I don't need to worry about paying to get shoes every 6-8 weeks. I would definitely recommend to those who like to keep their horses barefoot when they can.

Great!
So far I have used them twice for my barefoot OTTB who was made tender after a year of being barefoot by a bad farrier. They are a little tough to put on and take off, but even just the second time doing it it was much easier. I had my trimmer fit the boots for me so I'm not sure about how easy it is to measure for them. They fit great and even through rough and muddy terrain they stayed on great.

Great boot, second only to the edge
I bought this boot first. It works very well and will not come off when sized correctly. It is relatively easy to get on and off. It only takes about 5 minutes. It is worth not fighting the thrush my horses get underneath shoes (and no nail holes). The only draw back that I have seen is that the snap pops up occasionally. Also, the wires are hard on the hands when tightening and loosening them. I have to use my hoof pic. I am worried I will fray the wires. The edge is a better boot as the key system is so much easier. There is not popping up problem. This overall is a great boot, tender footed horse approved on gravel. If you can pay the extra, buy the edge. I'm going to buy the converters for my epics.

I do a lot of trail riding and from all the reviews I read and reviewing it on the EasyCare site - this sounded like a good boot that stays on and if it would get pulled off the gaiter strap keeps it on the leg so you don't lose it. Also good comments about staying on through mud, sand, wet grass and good traction. Horses seemed to adapt to it will

I need hoof protection during the times when we do not have our horses shod. I also like to use this boot over the shoes when we are doing long distance endurance rides during very rocky terrain

Is this price for a set?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We were confused about that as well. It has been my experience that the boots are priced individually. But we use the boots exclusively, and are very happy with them. Worth the investment!
do the boots come with a warranty?
kayla r on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 30 day manufacturers. They start breaking after. The captivator goes first if horse overreaches or the terrain is difficult. Cables are next and within about 200 miles bottom wears off. Overall good boots but I wouldn't canter too much in them.
Is this product sold as a pair?
A shopper on Apr 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, they are separate and different sizes. They are also easy to fix since captvator can be purchased separately.
