Product Summary:

The Easyboot® is the natural way to protect, treat, cushion and correct hooves and still allow the horse to go barefoot at all other times. The boot is made with durable urethane that fits snugly to the hoof and provides traction, but is lighter and longer lasting than a steel plate. When properly fitted, the Easyboot stays on as well as a traditional horseshoe.
Easyboots are sold individually.

Features
:

• Longer-lasting than steel shoes
• Easy to put on and remove
• Can be worn in place of or over steel shoes
• Portable and prevents lameness if a shoe is lost far from home
• Ideal for horses with hoof-related medical problems

Correct sizing is important so please measure carefully.

How to measure for Easyboots:

1. After a fresh trim, measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
2. Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. Do not include the heel bulbs in your measurement.
3. Compare your measurements with the sizing chart. For an ideal fit, the length and width measurements should fall under the same size on the chart.

didn't even try
when I read the directions that said use a screwdriver to remove it from the hoof I did not bother to try to put it on - exchanged for the trail easy boot with velcro, kept that and using it

my horse loves them
My mare has a nasty split on the bottom of her hoof that needs to be covered until healed. Also, she is very tenderfooted while barefoot. (I won't bore you with further details). I have been using these EasyBoots on her and she is doing great with them. I take them off every four or five days to clean them and treat her hoof with thrush buster. She has not had any trouble with thrush, and she is walking like there is nothing wrong with her. They are a little challenging to put on at first, but like human shoes, they eventually break in and get easier to use.

are these sold in a pair or individual?
Chris G on Jun 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They are sold individually
Is this price for one or per pair ?

BEST ANSWER: Easyboots are sold individually.
How difficult are these to put on and take off? Would you say these are easier or harder to put on than the Epic?
Diane N Rod S on Jun 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have not used the Epic. The Easyboot is a little difficult, but after using it a few times and you learn how to best insert the foot, it is easier. They work great. I have an older horse that has tender feet and I don't want to shoe her. So, I put these on her to take a walk. She doesn't seem to mind them at all and the walk goes very smoothly. I have used Easyboots for years for abscesses on other horses feet. I know they are probably more difficult to put on than other more expensive boots, but, I highly recommend them.
Is it for the front or back hooves?
A shopper on Jul 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have never used them on the back because having them on the front has made my horse very comfortable. I don't see why you couldn't use them on the back if needed.
which boot is the longest lasting for trail riding?
A shopper on May 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry we aren't using the boot for trail riding. We are using the boot for a gelding with a damaged hoof, the boot enables the farrier to take it on and off as needed while still providing a stable base for the horse's damaged hoof.
what is the difference between Easyboot Bare, Easyboot Epic, or Easyboot Grip?
Ron F on Nov 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought the least expensive type. As far as I can tell. The epic has grips around the ankle also. I have not seen the bare, but if you google those names, there are several write ups on Line about the various boots.
is there one or a pair?
