How do you prevent this saddle from slipping?
Elizabeth S on Mar 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: A tacky saddle pad and/or a breast collar will probably help slippage.
what are the measurements of the saddle ?
lynn s on Aug 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This saddle has a 16" seat (measured like a western saddle) and a flap length of 20".
Would this fit a large draft horse? I guess I will have to order a draft girth. Could you recommend any girths that would work with saddle? I also need a chest band. How do I measure his big mouth for a bit?
Sheri W on Sep 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would think this would work on a draft, I bought it for my TWH. It doesn't come with a girth, so I bought a Weaver girth from Tractor Supply, along with a Weaver breastplate. You may need extensions for a Draft horse. It has western rigging, so find a western girth. I also use a sticky pad under it and slipping has been minimal, mostly when mounting.
