Equicare® Flysect® Citronella Spray with Lanolin
 
Flysect Citronella Spray With Lanolin has been especially developed for use on horses. It provides a coating against flies while imparting a high sheen to the hair when brushed out. One to two ounces per horse per day gives adequate protection. Apply by either soft cloth or fine mist spray.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS - CAUTION
:
Harmful if swallowed. Remove or cover exposed foods before spraying. Do not apply to dairy animals.


FIRST AID
If swallowed
: Immediately call a poison control center or doctor. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give any liquid to the person. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If in eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first five minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

If inhaled
: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.

If on skin or clothing
: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

In case of medical emergencies or health and safety inquiries, or in case of fire, leaking or damaged containers or for product use information, call 602-285-1660. Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Contains petroleum distillate - vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:
This product is toxic to fish. Do not apply directly to water. Do not apply where runoff is likely to occur. Do not contaminate water by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes.

PHYSICAL OR CHEMICAL HAZARDS:
Do not use or store near heat or open flame.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

DIRECTIONS FOR WIPE-ON USE:
First brush animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Moisten (but do not wet to the point of dripping) a soft cloth and rub over the hair. It is best to apply by rubbing against the hair growth. Give special attention to the legs, shoulders, shanks, neck and facial areas where flies most often are seen. Only light application is required. Avoid using excessive amount on your horses. Do not wet skin. After application, brush out thoroughly to bring out bright sheen on the coat. Repeat daily or as required.

DIRECTIONS FOR SPRAY-ON USE:
May be applied as fine mist spray to stable area and over and around stabled horses for fast paralysis and kill of flies. Do not wet horse's skin or exceed 2 oz. per application.


STORAGE and DISPOSAL

Storage and Spill Procedures
: Store upright at room temperature. Avoid exposure to extreme temperature. In case of spill or leakage soak up with an absorbent material such as sand, sawdust, earth, fuller's earth, etc. Dispose of with chemical waste.
 
DISPOSAL

If empty
: Do not reuse this container. Place in trash or offer for recycling if available.

If partly filled
: Call your local solid waste agency or call 1-800-CLEANUP for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

Citronella products seem to be the only fly repellant that works in our area (south western North Dakota)BAD fly problem, even with a good fly management plan enforce.

Best Answer: This is the best fly spray I've found. It has a greater amount of active ingredients. It is oily but it allows the spray to stay on longer.

Is it cheaper if you buy it by the case?

Best Answer: I always buy it in the gallon size and usually 8 at a time. It is less expensive that way. We split the cost among the boarders in out barn.
