Directions for Use
It is a violation of Federal law to use this Product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Thoroughly brush horse's coat prior to application to remove loose dirt and debris. (For dirty horses, and as a preparation for show grooming, clean the coat with a quality shampoo.) Use at a 1 to 4 ratio with water. Put required amount of concentrate into sprayer or mixing container and add appropriate amount of water (1 qt. of concentrate makes 5 qts. of spray). Cover entire surface of animal with spray, but avoid getting Product into horse's eyes, or other sensitive areas such as mouth or nose. Spray horse's coat especially around shoulders, flanks, neck and legs. Brush coat against grain while spraying to insure adequate penetration of Product. Make sure application has completely dried on hair coat before covering with tack. As a wipe, apply liberally with a clean cloth or sponge. For initial treatment, apply daily. As infestation subsides and protection builds, reapply every 2-3 days as needed. Also, reapply every time animal is washed or exposed to a heavy rain.

Best concentrate fly spray
While it is not perfect, this concentrate is the most reliable on the market without spending a ton of money. It is water based so doesn't put an oily surface on the horses' coats. I usually supplement with a cheap fly repellent as it seems that some flies get immune after a few years. It is very easy to mix and spray on the horses.

This is NOT Concentrated Super-7
I was assured by telephone that Super-C was the concentrated version of Super-7. Maybe, the main ingredients are the same; but it does not include the aloe or lanolin that makes Super-7 such a wonderful product. There is a concentrated version of Super-7, in a container like this on another online supply sight - forgot which one - but on horse.com we can only purchase Super-7 in the non-concentrated quarts.
Changed to this 2017
So far so good! Like this better than the most popular fly stray. Not as "oily" and is water based, yet seems to last a long time. Yes, you have to mix it yourself but a good spray bottle is worth the price. It is a 4 to 1 ratio so makes up quite a bit for the money. Smells great
Great product.
This is my and my horse's favorite fly spray. I have used this product for years. It doesn't make his hair coat oily and it doesn't offend my nose. It works good and buying the concentrate saves a lot of money.
Works Well
I have used this for years!! My mare had a bad reaction to Wipe many years back and started using this with no bad reaction. 1 1/2 quarts last all fly season for 3 horses. I do recommend!
Most economical way to buy fly spray
This product is in concentrate form. When mixed with water as recommended, it makes a full gallon at half the price of purchasing a gallon container.
This is the only spray that really works for mosquitoes
I've used every brand and type of bug spray and found that this is the only stuff that really works. It smells like your horse is flammable when you spray them down but it is really effective. Follow dilution instructions; I tried mixing it a little stronger and my horse lost hair from it. Excellent product!
This product works great I buy it every year. I have tried other brands but this is the best so far
Don't waste your time
Doesn't work at all . A have to heavily spray them to get it to do anything at all. Don't buy this.
Effective against the most aggressive flies
When the weather turns hot and the biting flies attack my horses, this spray is one of my most effective weapons. The smell isn't offensive to me and the concentrate is a great value. I can use some of the more eco-friendly sprays in the more moderate weather, but nothing works as well as this repellent when the weather warms and the flies bite.
One of the better ones I have used.
Flies are and probably always will be a headache here in North Dakota. The Equicare Flysect Super-C is one of the better products I have used over the last 30 years. Because it is a concentrate mixed 1 to 4, it lasts as long as any of the sprays you don't have to mix. When the flies are really bad I do sometimes spray a couple times a day.
Best All-Around Concentrate
I have been using this product for over 10 years. I have used some other products which may have longer lasting repellent effect, but none that condition the coat or sun protect better. Because it is so economical, I may spray a little more often, but my horses coats are always shiny and retain their color throughout the summer season.
Reliable and trusted product
Have used this product for years. It works and as a concentrate it is a more economical way to buy.
Always in our tack room!
Having tried a lot of fly sprays this is the one that I now buy. I like the concentrate and add some skin so soft to water when I mix it up. Nothing repels all fllies, but this is the best I've found so far. Two thumbs up!
Love it!!
Over the years I have tried all types of fly spray. I will never buy anything else again. This stuff actually works, even in Louisiana. Its nice seeing my horses turned out with out suffering through flies. They actually have still tails now!
Best
don't waste money on the rest, this is the best for all bugs
Does the job.
The price is great and it works just as well as the more expensive brands, plus added bonus sunscreen =)
works great, even on deer flies.
Best repellent I've found that doesn't wear off when they get sweaty
This product works really well!
This fly spray is great fly & tick repellant . Has triple benifit! Has cost conditioners & sunscreen & smells good as well!!!
Quality product
The only product I have found that consistently keeps the flys off my horse in our high pressure area.
This works!
I've tried numerous products and have settled on Flysect. After using this for the last several years I wouldn't buy anything else.
simple!
Great and easy to work with. My gelding was so bitten up by flies that he couldnt go out with his friends. Next day i tried this and poof! All gone! Its amazing how well this works! try it yourself you will see a difference. I deffinitly did. He now goes out for all day and no bug bites! Great gift!
Life Saver!
The only product to consistently protect my horses from the pesky no-seeums that plague my area, I will not be without it! It even smells nice, and the concentrate is a good value!
Great Product
I have used this product for years. Works well with synthetic 'leather'. Smells nice. Last 2-3 days. Keeps horse coat soft and protected from sun.

Live in Maine. Is tick repellent also?
BEST ANSWER: So sorry to hear about ticks....those are sure nasty. You should contact the company to ask that specific question. The product is made by Farnam. (They will not let me attach the link for you to this note...sorry)

Yes. Flysect Super-C works to repel ticks. I live in Missouri and our Ranch has timber with many ticks and the formula combination is my favorite. Product also works to repel the large horse flies.
Stick with the RepelX for ticks. What we usually do is get this and the RepelX and just alternate the spray we use each time.
I haven't had any tick problems. I found one last year not sure if it's the spray or location. I'm in Vermont.
That's a very good question ..... I don't know.
No, it is not rated for ticks.

What is the difference between this and the Super-7? Is this just the same thing only concentrate?
BEST ANSWER: That may well be but I much prefer the concentrate. I think it's better value and I prefer the flexibility of being able to mix slightly stronger if the bugs are really bad. I like that it's water soluble so it doesn't attract dust and have even applied it to the edges of fly masks without making them feel oily. Best of all it works

I believe the "C" stands for "Concentrate. Great stuff!

About how long does the 32oz concentrate last during the "bug months"?

BEST ANSWER: I brush my horses every day before I put on the fly spray and I have not found a fly spray that lasts more than one day. The Equicare Flysect Super-C is my second choice. I use it in the early evening to respray them for knats and mosquitoes. My number one choice is the Equicare Flysect Super-7. Its the best fly spray on the market and it does a good job of keeping the horses comfortable during the hot times of day.

The spray concentrate, when mixed accordingly, should last as long as any other spray. I have a couple of horses and depending on the weather and how much my horses sweat due to activity, affects how much I use. I've tried cheaper sprays, but they don't work as well as this brand. I come close to using a bottle per year, sometimes two, but I live Connecticut, where only about three months are buggy.
I spray daily because I work all day and can't come out mid-day to spray when the flies are most aggressive. I have had no allergic reaction from any of the 4 horses that I treat, even the one with super-sensitive skins.
Depends on how much you use. I mix 1/4 cup to 2 cups of water and add 1/4 cup of Skin So Soft. I have two horses that get sprayed twice daily, live in PA and probably go through 7 32 oz bottles per summer.
I have yet to find any fly spray that lasts longer than 12 hours. I laugh at the ones that claim 7-10 days!! I liked this one, lasts about 8-12 hours and has an added sunscreen
Depends on how many horses you are treating. I have two who are sensitive TBs and I started using the Equisect in mid April and have a half of a container left.
With 3 horses to spray each day, I go through about 2 of these concentrates in a summer, but our summers are 6 months long.
I spray my horse often, so it lasts me about a month.

what are the ingrediants ?
BEST ANSWER: This product works very well because it includes the best fly control ingredients available! I know it includes pyrethrins and permethrin, which not only repel flies but kills them on contact. I switch between this product and Pyrahana throughout the summer months, and my horses are comfortable from pesky flies the entire summer season!

1 to 4 ratio with water. Shake the bottle before mixing. I like it and works great for me. I buy a chemical spray bottle as they have mixing ratios on them.
