If I need to give one dose to each of 3 miniature horses (under 34 inches), how many tubes do I need?
L G on Mar 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The weight that one tube will worm is on the package. You should have an idea of what each mini weighs, and then you just worm with only as much as is needed for the little guy's weight. One tube should easily do 3 minis unless they are bigger than the average. If not sure of the weight, consult your vet.
Can this be used for mules?
Wayne2 on Oct 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Equimax Paste has been formulated specifically for use in horses and ponies ONLY. This product should not be used in other animal species as severe adverse reactions, including fatalities in dogs, may result.
Today is 2/1/16...are you going to open it up for orders?
Karissa S on Feb 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We cannot open it up for orders until we physically receive stock. The current estimated date of availability is a month from now, 3/1/16. That date may change if the Manufacturer change it.
What wormer do I use for pin worms?
A shopper on Feb 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Equimax states it covers treatment for pinworms. I like to use this because it also treats bot larvae and tapeworms. I know it works, I've actually seen dead bot larvae in my horses feces after worming. For the pinworms I've read the larvae are active at night and migrate to the horses anus, so washing that area in the morning is helpful and coating the area with Vaseline so the eggs can't stick to the skin under the tail and anus area could work too. Because of the broad spectrum of coverage I recommend this wormer along with fecal egg counts. Good luck.
May this be used on dogs?
dennis g on May 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, do NOT use this on dogs. Even small amounts of horse wormer is toxic to dogs. Dogs can even be poisoned by eating horse manure after the horse has been given Ivermectin or other Equine de-worming products.
What is the problemh Equimax? Why is it out of stock everywhere?
Sharon S on Dec 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have noticed that as well and don't know the answer. I think horse.com could better answer this question. I usually order online but since Equimax is available at our local feed store that is where I purchased it.
