Used before with good results. The amount of biotin and other minerals is one of the highest per dose. Horse eats it well. Not as expensive as some of the others with less biotin.

Would you feed 1 oz per day to a 500 lb donkey or more to help with vertical cracked hoof?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We gave our little (350-450lbs) burros 1 scoop per day until we saw some improvement, it took a long time but they look really good. They didn't get horse feed just Enrich supplement plus this and coastal hay.
How much of the following per serving in mg? Zinc, copper, lysine, and methionine?
Shabug on Mar 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately we were not able to obtain this information from the Manufacturer, just that there is 25 mg of biotin per 2 ounce serving. Farnam advised us that "We apologize that we do not have the information that you are requesting. Supplement ingredients are in the product at the percentage or ppm stated under the guaranteed analysis. Because this is a supplement and not a complete feed, we do not analyze for milligrams per serving unless it is something that is going to be stated on the label. The only ingredient that has been analyzed for milligrams in Horseshoer's Secret is the biotin."
What is best source of biotin?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I love this product, I have a horse with extremely challenging hooves and this is what I have fed him for the last 3 years with extremely good results. the product analysis is below. I found it necessary to feed two scoops for the first 6 months and then moved to the maintenance portion of 1 scoop per day. It is very important to feed this full time without starting or stopping.

Can I feed this product to a donkey who has foundered in the past?
BeccaLynn on Oct 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes start out on the smallest recommended amount and don't exceed weight/dosage recommendation. If you're hesitant due to past foundering cut back on the donkey's feed. Keep in mind that like most vitamins it usually takes a month before seeing any results. There are also products that are Biotin only which is the main ingredient for hoof growth.
