This is a good heavy plastic bowl that is working well for horse feed.

Great product
Good size for horses - they have a hard time pawing it and turning it over. I also drilled holes in the bottom of one and use it for a salt block holder out in the field. I have used them over the years to put under oversized flower pots that I bring in for the winter. I love this product for price and durability.

This product is very durable & long life.
Very good product and I highly recommend the feed dishes! The first time I purchased this brand of bowls was eight years ago. They worked great and they don't tip over easily spilling valuable grain. It's been eight years since I first purchased the feed bowls and I'm just now noticing a few cracks and decided to replace.p.s. My Arabian colt loves to play with the dish and carrying it around (especially at feeding time)!

Love this pan
This pan works excellent for my gelding with EPSM. He has to have canola oil added to each meal. With buckets his nose develops rain rot from the constant moisture of rubbing the oil on the bucket while eating. The traditional rubber pan did not work because the oil must have had some reaction with it because it started to disintegrate and left dark black rubber smears on everything! This pan is holding up and working just great!!! I highly recommend it!!!!

low pan
There is a price difference between the regular 3 gallon and this "low pan 3 gallon" but they are practically identical. The low pan is the best deal anywhere. You might have to search it on the site to get it to show up. We bought 4 for our goats and pigs. The more pans the merrier!

Impossible to flip over!
This is the only pan that my boy was not able to flip over! He stepped in it several times while trying, it didn't break. Good quality plastic. Just what I needed, and the price is very nice too.

Do not leave in with horses
I have now had two incidents with these buckets getting cracked and then a horse stepping through the bucket and it getting caught on their foot which resulted in me sawing the bucket off. If you use this product, do not leave it in with horses unattended. It is not safe.

Good price and a good product
The price is outstanding on this product. I bought these to use to feed goats but have since gone back and ordered some to use with my horses. They have been unable to flip them over or break them.

Perfect size
These are perfect pans to use as 50 lb. salt blocks holders in the corner of a stall, or as outdoor salt block holders if you drill some holes in the bottom for drainage.

These are very sturdy and tough. I've had mine for about 2 years now and non of them have even cracked, even though they spend the majority of the time out in my pasture. Will buy more if I ever need to.

These are great for feeding in the pasture. The bowls don't flip over (without a lot of effort).

They are great feeders, chicken waterers and salt block holders. I intend to put them under the house plants I am getting ready to bring in out of the cooler weather.

is this hard plastic or rubber?
A shopper on Jan 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi - It's sort of plastic, I guess, but it doesn't get brittle in the cold or anything like that. It seems to have no odor and my guy had no problem eating from it. It is built well enough that normally a horse wouldn't knock it over, although we all know not to say never when it comes to a horse. I'd recommend it.
Can anyone please tell me how wide and how deep are these feeders?
Jackie on Sep 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sorry to be so long replying; was on vacation. These are 4 1/4 X 15 inches; very tough, thick plastic. Mine have not peeled or cracked in spite of being out in hot and cold weather. They do not flip, but are easy to dump out to rinse due to hand cutoffs on the bottom edge.
