They are great to color code feeding in different turnouts. Plus they seem to hold up well in the cold weather and are not as heavy as the rubber ones, nor are they "floppy" when carrying them stacked.

I liked the price

I got this for my chickens water but they tip it over unless I put a huge rock in it and it's not that big so there is more rock than water. But it's a really nice pan and I'm sure it can be re-purposed when I find something else for the chicken water.
REBECCA H on Oct 18, 2015
I have purchased these feed pans before and have been quite happy with them. My mustang liked them too.
SUSAN K on Sep 30, 2015
have 2 for my horse trailer, can put water in them or whatever you need to feed. good and perfect size
TERRIE S on Sep 7, 2015
These are cheap and hold up to being hauled around. They are also easier to clean than the old black rubber pans.
Mary L S on Sep 4, 2015
I put this out next to my troughs and fill every day with clean water. Squirrels drink from this and stay out of the trough. I don't like pulling drowned squirrels out of my horse's trough!
KAREN P on Aug 31, 2015
great to haul in trailer

Rugged buckets hold up even when used as chewy toys in the pasture. Variety of colors makes it easier for my son to help, as each horse can have it's own color tub.

these are perfect for preparing meals and stacking them in the feed barrel.
DEBRA C on Jan 30, 2015
Use these all the time for feeding - handy size, easy to clean, horses like them (not deep), stack well. Handy for other things as well.
REBECCA D on Oct 25, 2014
Gave it a try...not tough enough for horse use.

5 qt = 10.4318 lb
My arabian get 4 cups a day is this big enough for her?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes!! I really like these :)
are they strong for big horses ?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I really like mine. it’s nice for holding small amounts of grain and the supplements I use (1.5 lbs of grain, oil and powder). It could easily fit more grain than what I use. It’s also easy to clean and durable. I don’t keep Mine in the stall. It’s hard and would turn into a frisbee because he plays with his empty buckets. It’s been tossed about and has held up nicely this past year in Michigan.
Can I use them for big horses?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I do, they seem to work good for soaked pellets/beet pulp for my easy going 15h paint, nothing ever left behind. They can hold a lot of food more than enough for a large horse, imo. They move around a lot being that they are quite light but seem to hold up very well, nice thick plastic. Hope that helps
What are the measurements of this pan?
Debbie M on Oct 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 11.25"x 4" deep. Holds 5 qt o mine.
Because of the size, do you think I can use it for everyday feeding? My horse gets 2 scoops of grain along with a supplement, do you think all of his feed wold fit in this?
A shopper on Nov 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I know this is an old question but I just want to add, My ottb mare eats about 2 full scoops of grain+supplements+half a scoop of alfalfa pellets.. all soaked. This pan is not nearly big enough. This would be good for small ponies, goats, even dogs. I sometimes soak the alfalfa in this first and add it to my new big pan.
I want 4 different colors how do I do that?
A shopper on Jul 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is Easier to call customer servic . Otherwise you have to keep going back to te rder sreen to add different colr each time
How big is this bucket?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: i don't have exact measurements but I use it to give meds. It's not very big but at least I know they got the meds. I hope I helped .
are they rubber?
A shopper on Mar 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure, I would say a poly something, but they are very durable, My horses are color coded, so I bought a couple sets, one for the barn and one for the horse trailer, and an extra set figuring they wouldn't last that long and I still have all 3 sets and use the 1 set daily and have been for 3 years, and my barn freezes in the winter and can be very hot in the summer. The original are still in good shape. Good buy for the money and they clean up so much better than those rubber things I thew away
