I choose this product to hopefully repel off the nasty bugs that continually bother my horse. Since I am not available daily to spray her, I figured the drops might be beneficial.

Is this product sweat and water resistant?
A shopper on Mar 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I believe it is suppose to be. Keep in mind you have to apply every two weeks. I really don't think any of the "spot-on" treatments work as well as I hoped for flies but seem to do a good job with ticks. Do to the fact that I trail ride I continue using for the tick control.
Does this help repel ticks?
JENNIFER H on May 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Ticks are bad this year in the Big South Fork, Jamestown TN. Have used this in the past and glad I have put it on my Horses now... does seem to last for 2 wks, however I have large draft horses so on the ones that are over 1600# I use 2 vials. I also spray their legs lightly with Off for extra protection when going out to ride... it seems to be working. When I had nothing on them I was finding ticks now I find occasionally one here and there nothing like before
I have a chestnut that is sensitive to some products. Have you had good luck with chestnuts using this product? Is there an antidote if he has a reaction. He gets hives from some homemade remedies such as Dawn.
Bella on May 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used it for my black Tenessee Walker. It worked better for her than the other products they sell in the feed store & I believe it was because spot on does not contain citronella & I think some horses who have sensitivities are sensitive to it also. I also use it on my Friesian gelding who gets itchy & it works for him also. Good luck I think it is worth a try.
How long before the horse can get wet?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have found that Freedom lasts longest if the horse is clean even with just a rinse and squeegee and almost completely dry. But to answer your question, I believe the instructions say 24 hrs . I like to wait about three days until it looks completely dry where it's been applied. But it does work very well.
Do you apply full dose to miniature horses? Is it safe for miniature horses?
holly e on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use one tube for two minis.
