By all accounts, this product appears to be pretty good. My only points of criticism are;1. Drain valve has a small round on / off knob that is difficult to turn with bare fingers. A lever handle would be better.2. On / off knob is tight against tank. A longer valve body would extend handle further away from tank.3. Top fill port should be located at opposite end of tank for maximum filling capacity.

be sure to prop it up before you fill w/ h20
I have a 2006 2500 extended bed Dodge, I had my trailer hooked up when I filled the H20 tank mistake I made was I wasn't able to empty all the water after camping and had to struggle to lift the tank w/ water to disconnect the cables that were attached under the water tank. It is a good idea as someone else mentioned to lift the back end of the tank if you're carrying it in the bed of truck so you can empty the tank

Great Portable Carrier
This is a great portable water carrier. But remember, water pulls a vacuum in a container. There is a vacuum relief port on top of the black cap. Always remember to pop that open or water will not come out. Before you fill this up with water, but some bricks or a 4x4 under the far end. This thing is gravity fed and water doesn't run up hill. You will always find yourself parked at some sort of angle and it won't be angled in the way of the spigot. If you start running low on water all the water will drain to the other end and you won't be able to get any out. Don't think your going to pick this thing up either with water in it. This thing is light by itself, but water weighs 8.35lbs per gallon. This thing is 50 gallons. That's 417.5 lbs. My only complaint is that where you attach the hose the use the female end so you actually have to attach the hose backwards (the threaded part of the hose goes inside this leaving the spinning female end exposed). This is a great product that fits in the back of any truck. Excellent buy, just remember to prop up the opposite end and open the vacuum relief.

Really Handy!
I purchased 2 several years ago and have sold many since then when they are seen with the ones we ride with. Great for wagon trains and primitive camping! Easy to fill and easy to use.

is this made for trailer hay rack instllation?
A shopper on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: While I have only had mine in the bed of our truck to date, I too, have plans of someday putting it in a hay rack and I do not have any concerns about doing so. It is made of thick plastic and has "grooves" formed in the plastic to help prevent tie straps from slipping. I would just make sure that the tank has adequate support underneath it from the hay rack's bars.
Does this tank come with a hose?
Kris J on May 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No the tank does not have a hose or pump with it. I purchased a hose separately. I would suggest if you want it to flow enough to hose down a horse to either place so that gravity will allow water to flow or get a pump to attach to push water in a good rate of speed to hose off a horse. Love this tank!!!
how many gallons does this water tank hold?
A shopper on Aug 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 48 gallons, it's in the description. Love mine, I think it's handier than one in the tack room and I use at spare with our camp trailer and for camping.
