Great Product
We have a 5 year old OTTB who can get feisty. We were going to our first horse show with him and also it was out of town and involved 3 nights away - as you can imagine we were nervous..... Our trainer recommened this product to us and I am so thankful she did. We gave it daily, twice on first day and just once daily after that and HE DID AMAZING! Was as calm as he is at home, even took grand champion in one event. Hard to know how he would have been without it but I am convinced it took the edge off of his nervousness in this new environment and experience - plus I loved that it is not a "drug".

This product works great!
I have a 16.1 TB that I have had for 3 years. He was pretty excitable when I first got him. He has calmed down a great deal. I use him for pleasure riding and run flags at various rodeos. The new places and the outside stimulus of noises in the stands etc really get him wired up. I started using B-Kalm two years ago and have found it is perfect for him. It keeps him balanced and focused and he does absolutely wonderful on it. Warning tho-It recommends use 1.5 - 2 hrs prior to event. I have had to work thru it and I have found I need to give it 4.5 - 5 hrs prior to event. I know it might be different for different horses but this works best for us. So, if you are using it with less time and not getting your desired results, just give to your horse a-little earlier each time until you find the right balance for you and your horse. I have a rodeo in a couple weeks and will not attend without it! It's my miracle worker, for both of us. Safety is my #1 priority for both of us.

My Barrel horse has been getting extremely nervous at the gate. I give this to him before I run, It works well. It takes the edge off and helps him to focus better on the run.

Worked for My Horse
I have used this product multiple times on my warmblood gelding and it has never let me down.He is nervous about going to new places and this helps him relax.

Horse loved the taste, but it didnt work.
My high strung mare didnt even get phased by this product. I had a horrible trail ride (yet again). Would not recommend it, it is not a miracle cure. At least I didnt waste too much money.

Did not work for my gelding
I used this for my 10 yr old AQHA gelding at a Big show and it did not work. I think it did made him worse. He's a big gelding and maybe it wasn't enough for him but I won't try it again. It did smell good.

The instructions say to give the full tube, I have a very high strung Mini that I would like her to relax a bit for driving, do I give her 1.2 the tube? She weighs around 350lbs.

BEST ANSWER: We have a pony that weighs 500 lbs, and we give her the full tube. If you don't feel comfortable with administering the full tube, try half and see if that does the trick.
I bought 2 tubes of this, when I have one it was a light brown color, but when I gave the other it was a dark reddish brown. Can you tell me why this is?
Vicki S on Jul 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sounds like it may have been old to me. Did it have an expiration date on it? Did it work? The paste in the tube I bought was white in color. You might contact the manufacturer about it. Who knows, they may give you free tube to replace it.
How often in 24 hrs can you give a full tube to a 1000lb horse? Works well but seems to wear off after about 4-5 hours.

BEST ANSWER: We have to recommend that you check with your veterinarian, who will be familiar with your horse's entire health picture, about any frequency limitations.
