Product Summary:

Horse Health Joint Combo Classic

Horse Health Joint Combo Classic contains glucosamine HCI and chondroitin sulfate, along with the cofactors manganese and ascorbic acid, in a palatable, cinnamon apple-flavored pellet. Glucosamine and chondroitin are found naturally in the bodies of animals and are necessary for normal joint function. Glucosamine is a natural precursor of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and hyaluronic acid. Chondroitin is the primary GAG found in cartilage. Manganese is an important cofactor for the formation of GAGs, and ascorbic acid is required for collagen formation. Together, they act synergistically to support healthy joint function.

Why I use this product
My vet told me all horses needed joint supplements. My TB mare is an x jumper and has a tendon problem -- not with Joint Combo Classic. The price is right and it works - have 3 horses on it and all of them move freely.

Just the thing for my finicky eater
I have been feeding this supplement for about a month to my 22 year old QH mare with poor knees, and my 11 year old mare who survived two bouts of Lymes Disease, but now has calcification and some stiffness in her pastern joints as a long term result of the LD. The palatability of this product has been reassuring to me; they eat it first in their grain feedings. Other products may be more inexpensive for the results, but if the horse needing the glucosamine and chondroitin won't eat it; there is no economy factor. This seems to be doing the job; will be looking for long term results over the next few months. Shipping is so reasonable, and being able to purchase the large 8# tubs is another plus!! Thank youi!

This supplement has completely changed my 26 year old mare!
My mare who is 26 roughly has a heart of gold and a love of running. She started getting stiff to the point of not being able to let me pull her back leg backwards for me to pick it!I knew it was time to get a supplement and I am so glad that on the first try I pick one that was golden! The loading dose is three to four weeks 3 scoops twice a day and the bucket will last you about two weeks. Once the loading dose is finished, it's one scoop once a day and lasts a while (60 days per the container). In addition to making her limber in ways that I have never seen for her, this supplement has added benefits. Her coat is more glossy, hooves stronger, and skin healthier. I love this supplement!!!

great product
these pellets with alfalfa are good for myself, my dog, and my horse. The dog can now jump up onto the pickup bed when she hadn't been able to do that before.

Works fast
Have an older mare that I give lessons on and she was having problems in her shoulders. I was even having to bute her before she was shod. After two weeks of giving her the Joint Combo Classic, she is a much happier horse and even my horse shoer has seen a great improvement.

Really works
My 18 year old Spotted Saddle Horse was having some joint problems with his left rear leg. After two weeks of being on Joint Combo he is resting his full weight on that leg.

Seems to help my 29 year old with his joints. I keep him on this with the Senior Focus.

Purchased a small container earlier this month for a senior mare and another picky mare who is suffering from stiffness in her pasterns due to two separate cases of "Lyme's Disease' a few years ago. She will eat around any meds mixed with her feed. :-( This, in pellet form is appetizing to both of them. If it isn't eaten, then even the most economical supplement isn't a bargain. She does eat this!

BEST ANSWER: My vet diagnosed navicular disease and osteoarthritis in my 18 year old mare. She suggested this supplement for her arthritis after a course of Adequan. I am not sure it is useful for ligament issues.
Seems awfully low in recommended disages for both glucosamine and chondroitin. I've read 'buyer beware' on supplements. Pay attention to the dosage. Why is there so little of these key ingredients???
