Product Summary:

Ice Horse Tendon Boots-Pair

Easy to use Ice Horse® Tendon Wraps provide uniform compression and coverage to reduce inflammation and heat of the tendons and ligaments surrounding the cannon bone area after work or injury.  Now cold therapy for your horse is even easier than ever to apply.  The new and enhanced design allows the ice packs to Velcro directly onto the wrap and mold to the horses legs for maximum coverage, stay cold for over 2 hours and are reusable.  When you are done, simply place your packs back in the freezer.  Within hours they are ready to use again.  Ice Horse® Tendon Wraps are made with Quadraspan™ anti migration fabric. Our unique breathable fabric keeps the wraps in place on the horses leg and the ice compressed against the area being treated.  Specially placed Velcro closures allow for a secure tight fit every time.  Removal   is easy – no yanking or jerking on the tabs to undo.  Includes one left boot, one right boot and four ice packs.  If heat is recommended, use DEEP HEAT™ by Ice Horse® (not included).

Be careful when using!
These boots are awesome, they do indeed cool off the leg, and my horse isn't uncomfortable with them on, they fit very well. However, check frequently as they can actually get warm and therefore produce heat after they have been applied for a couple hours. The first time I used them, I was really impressed. The leg was cool to touch, and I had the packs on for about 2 and a 1/2 hours. They did however slip down slightly. The second time I went to use them yesterday, I noticed one of the packs has an open side and the material inside is falling out. It's not a large tear, but I will not be using it on my horse either. So check carefully before each application for any tears. I left them on for a longer period of time (with only 1 ice pack in the one leg boot), and when I checked on them, the packs were HOT and both legs were sweating. I know this is of my own fault, however, I want to warn others purchasing this product to keep a close eye on temperature of the packs.
