is this medication black ointment?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it is a black salve that I put a thick layer on my horses hoof in the area of an access and then wrap. It helps pull out the infection. Messy but really works!
How does Ichthammol 20% work on horses prone to scratches?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a great product. We always keep it around for minor cuts and scratches. It seems to help them heal quicker. I also used it once to get thorns out of the bottom of my feet. Works like a charm and cheaper than the "human" version..
