great product, shipping was slow
Our horse seems to love this pad. He is much more perky. The saddle had been rubbing on him before and different blankets/pads did not seem to work.
Saddle pad in very comfortable.
Very fast delivery. I ordered it on a Tuesday and it was received in less than a week. This pad is very comfortable for me in the saddle, no slipping. Very durable so far and I have been using it for the last month. It is a good looking pad too, I like the wear leathers on the side.
AMAZING!!!!!!!
I have had mine for about 6 years now, it looks worn but not too bad and the only reason I need a new one is because my horses have high withers and the gel on the withers has worn down but it stil works great! I love love love this pad and I am never getting a different brand ever again! it is heavy but that's no big deal. 100% recommend it. the felt where my saddle goes has balled up and is a little worn but it still works the same just looks worn but that is bound to happen to any pad. im so obsessed with impact gel and I strongly advise everybody to get one! my pad has the tacky bottom and somedays I forget to tighten my girth and one day my girth was hanging half a foot off of my horse and we were loping around and my saddle and pad never moved a inch!
Great Pad
This is the only pad I have found that works for my hard to fit horse. Finally an even sweat pattern!
Pad doesn't hold up well over time!
I have had this pad for a little over a year now and I am very disappointed! I trail ride on average once a week and this pad looks beat up. The material is all balled up and looks way older then it is. I take extremely good care of all my tack and store it indoors. So the quality of the material is just plain lacking. The only good thing about this pad is that is dose for well to the horse.
Very Nice
All I can say is my horse seemed very comfortable on our ride and if she's good I'm good. It fit her perfectly.
My mare seems to like it!
It may have just been a coincidence, but my young barrel racing mare ran in the 1D the first time we ran in competition with this pad. She's been running in the 3D for the past few months...
quality pad!
the impact gel is a really cool feature! conforms to any horses back and there's no dry spots.
Very well made
It's made in the USA! Well made, I will add. Nice leather wear pads and leather strip down the center. The pad is made so that each side is separate and joined at the top, which allows freedom of movement for the horse. The gel conformed to my mare's back and the sweat under the saddle pad was full...no dry spots. The stitchin' is straight and there are cut aways for the withers and your riggin'. I expect this pad to last a long long time.
Best Saddle Pad Out There!!!
If you are looking for a saddle pad that will last forever, look classy, and keep your horse running smooth...this is the pad for you! It is amazing quality and for the price, it's a steal of a deal! You can pay like 400 some dollars on big name pads...but why waste your money when you can buy this?!

I have a young horse with small withers now. Saddle is coming down on her neck. Keep having to stop and set saddle of her neck after going down a hill. does any one know if a saddle pad would help this problem ?
BEST ANSWER: Your best bet is to buy a saddle that fits. But you can try a whither shim pad, you can buy a cheap set for under $20 on horse.com. they go on top of regular pad under the saddle. Keeps saddle off the neck, but worth trying for hills.

is this pad wool on the bottom? I really don't want it to be anything but wool bottom
BEST ANSWER: Yes this pad is wool felt on the bottom as it is on the top with the gel in between. I have decided these pads are very heavy.

BEST ANSWER: Impact Gel advises us that this pad weighs approximately 7 lbs.
I truly have no idea. I have not weighed it. But I can say that it is a lot lighter than I thought it would be. I was almost concerned. That was before I used it. I like it. My horse seems to also. It is wearing well. Not caving in or wearing out.

There is an Impact Gel pad that is labeled as "XT Lite", which I believe has holes in the gel center to allow air to flow through. If you are in a hot climate, this might be the better choice of the Impact Gel pads.
