Product Summary:

Itchin Post Grooming Pad

The Itchin Post Grooming Pad is a "soft touch" textured pad that gives animals a safe, satisfying way to scratch and relieve their annoying itches.  Rubbing against fence posts, sharp metal corners, exposed bolts and rusty nails is unsafe and can cause hair loss, scars, damage to fences and barns, as well as costly vet visits.  With the Itchin Post you can cover up those unsafe spots.

Features:
  • Flexible enough to wrap around posts or corners
  • Designed to cover nails, hooks, gate latches and any objects sticking out of surfaces
  • Can fit over small or large areas:  2-3 panels wrapped around a tree or wood post or Single or multiple panels for walls, building corners, stalls, pens and more
  • Sturdy cone-like "nubs" provide massaging action that stimulates blood flow and increase oxygen and nutrients before and after exercise
  • Pads help apply insect repellents and conditioning sprays or oils deep into the coat for extra defense and conditioning
  • Won't crack or get brittle
  • Lasts 5-10 years
  • Can withstand extreme conditions (-77º to 277ºF)

Works well
Went up easy enough. Horse.com has the best price, but they are costly. Bought three, one is missing Some knobby pieces already after just two weeks,so not sure how durable they will be.

Flexible--great for bending to fit your area!
If you need a scratching post that doesn't lay flat up against a wall, and need it to fit around a corner or an angle wrap, choose this one over the competition. This is made from a flexible rubber-type material that is easy to install. I put it around a decorative 3x3 V-shaped piece of pro-panel/sheet metal on the edge of a three-sided shelter where the horses were constantly rubbing. I attached the remaining 6" inside the run-in, all in a continuous line--no cutting. It was super easy to install with screws and washers and looks great. The horses love it.

BEST ANSWER: 23 inches wide x just under 15 inches high
can a goat eat this?
becky b on Aug 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is pretty heavy duty and attached to a wood post, so I can't imagine a goat being able to eat this. My horse and donkeys love it! It feels as close to fingers as you can get w/out them! But Becky, I don't have a goat!
