Good entertainment but doesn't last long
My mare and gelding had this consumed in about 3 days. I think it's a good product and helps break up winter paddock boredom. But if the horse tends to chew it, which is what mine did, as opposed to licking it like a large salt block, then it is consumed in no time. That could get expensive so I don't necessarily recommend or not recommend it.

My horse loves BRACHS PEPPERMINTS but ignors this product totally for some reason.
At first when I unwrapped the refill , I let her lick it and she tried to bite it,but since it's in the toy ,she totally ignores it.

Not for picky eaters
Yeah I have it and my girl won't touch it which is really odd since she loves her normal salt lick and also the jug boy I made for her with holes and she can bang around to get pellets to fall out. But this one she just won't touch. Tried even to make it more interesting to her by wiping a fresh cut apple on the outside and nothing. And she loves apple flavor..... I will try to put it into her feeder over night and see if she might touch it then.I know other horses that are crazy bout these.... just not my girl

horses love this
my horses love these treats, however, even though they are swinging free in the apple hanging device, my fjords still manage to consume the whole thing in a day. Not sure how they do it.

contentment
We have a horse who likes to be alone and happens to be a cribbed and the jolly stall snacks are great. It gives him something to play with and keeps him entertained and saves on the board fence. Overall he loves it and we are pleased with the product.

Not my horses fav
I imagine some horses like this but mine was not impressed with it... I got his two favorite "Flavors" to me they smelt rather funny... like at first I could smell what they were suppose to be like but after opening them up it seemed to change... I have not had much luck with him wanting much to do with them... mite change over time...

I needed a refill but did not want to use the other refills because of all the sugar they contain. So glad they've added the salt refill. My horse loves his salt block so I thought I'd try something a bit more entertaining. We'll see how it goes.

how to hang and put stall snack together?
A shopper on Mar 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The refill is easy and mostly self-explanitory to put in the apple shaped holder. One helpful thing I have found to do is to hang a small weight (like a small jolly ball) on the bottom of the apple holder or use a string and clip to attach it to the barn wall. If you use a string, be sure it's short enough so that it doesn't allow the horse to get it's head between it or wrapped with it. This helps to keep a horse from getting the snack in their mane - quite messy to clean up.
Will this fit into a likit holder?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: MAde for Jolly Stall system, but yes, they DO fit in the limit holders.
