Product Summary:

Kensington Non-Collapsing Fly Boots

These fly boots are manufactured with US-made 1000 x 2000 Denier Textilene fabric, formulated to withstand fading, fire, mildew, soiling wear and tear, even in the most extreme weather conditions. Textilene is an innovative woven PVC-coated fabric known for its durability with 78% air permeable and non-heat transferring qualities, and blocks up to 73% of the sun's harmful UV rays. These boots protect from biting insects, mud, sand, and dirt, prevent injury from stomping, keep flies from biting the horse's legs, and also add protection while shipping. A plastic stay built under the fleece allows the boots to stay upright to protect the legs. Three adjustable Velcro straps and fleece trim provide extra comfort.

Mission Accomplished
I wanted socks that came down over the coronet band and stayed up. These are doing the job. They are well made and stiff enough to stand up on their own. Good quality. I didn't give them 5 stars because I'm stingy I guess. : /

Excellent fly protection with Kensington Fly Boots.
Great secure fit. Look better in hand than the picture did. I would definitely recommend Kensington Fly Boots to anyone looking for fly protection.

Great fly wraps!
Love these and will buy more. One set is on a large 16.2h TB, same size is on a petite 14.2h TB mare. Both are out 24/7 and even with fly spray cant stop stamping. No more stamping with these wraps!

Stay up
Stay up all day and are easy to clean by ghosting off. Do not give my horse rub marks and really keep him from stomping.

Leg fly protection
This really helps keep the flys off their front and back legs so the are not stomping the ground any more

Just got my fly boots, put them on my horse and she quit stomping the ground. The fly's were trying to get to her legs but couldn't. I'm thrilled with the product. My mare has white legs and the fly's are awful this year. I would recommend Kensington leg wraps to anyone that is suffering from the fly's ! My mare seems to notice the difference too. They are so easy to put on and take off. Easy to clean too.

My horse has white legs and since I live in the south he needs to wear fly boots from the middle of March thru middle of October. In the south the flies and gnats are relentless and have become resistant to most fly sprays. I have been using fly boots for the past 9 years. Since my horse wears them everyday I have tried at least 10 different types/brands. Kensington is by far the best. They stay in place and keep my horses from stomping their feet which is hard on their shoes and hooves. I have used Kensington boots for the past 4 years and recommend the wraps be removed every evening and reapplied every morning, this will help to prolong their durability.

Product works fairly well, with non-fussy horses
My ottb tolerated them and did find relief from the flies, but is also a bit of a chewer/fussy and started pulling and biting at them, more from something different on his legs as opposed to really irritating him. I would recommend buying 2 sets to cover the fly season.

These Fly Boots are very durable and well made. They are very easy to take on and off which makes it nice. My horse was getting bed sores on the front of his legs. With this type of material you can apply medicine and still have the air get to it without the dirt sticking to it. It does an awesome job on keeping the fly's away. The only thing I see with the boots is that they slouch down a little and wish they had a little more snug on the fit. I would definitely recommend these and use them again.

Flies are out of control at our barn in spite of daily mucking, and fly spraying, fly predators and fans. I just have to do something to help our mare. She has little fly bites all around the coronary band on all 4 feet, and some abrasions from her scratching them!
Dee P on Sep 30, 2016
I have used these boots for the past 3 years and love the lasting quality and durability. They are on 24/7 throughout fly season. They protect and don't slip or sag.
CATHY T on May 20, 2016
My horse had troubles with gnats last year so I putting boots on this summer that are easy to put on and off daily.
SUSAN N on May 9, 2016
I hoped they would be cooler and still do the trick, but they tend to sag.

really helped my horses with the flies, and these fly boots really last!
DEBORAH S on Nov 29, 2015
Work great for fly protection on my herd. But not as good for my draft. Don't get me wrong, they stay on without a doubt. The heavy mesh doesn't seem to hold up with this product with my big girl, I still continue to buy this product regardless, they are the best thus far for all my horses.

DEBORAH R on Jun 27, 2015
My farrier highly recommends that I try using fly boots on my ottb with so-so feet - even though he is stalled in the summer the flies are still not very nice. Not sure my gelding will keep them on but won't know until I try them and this brand seems to get the better ratings on a number of different websites.
ILKA M on Jun 23, 2015
very comfy for my horse. keeps fly's from biting his legs
Connie S on Jun 20, 2015
I read the reviews and they are highly recommended from the people that bought them. Hopefully they are as good as they say.

these appear to be good quality fly boots, he's finally decided to quit tearing them up, so the investment is solid.

To keep flies off legs while grazing/eating.

Kathy S on Aug 3, 2014
These boots don't really hold up well. I got them on sale so I didn't have a big investment. Fly boots saved my horse and his shoes! He was stomping so much from the flies that he was bruising his hooves and I couldn't keep shoes on him. Wish the quality were better. They only lasted 2 months before looking tattered but they are still usable.

Need fly boots for donkey....the flies love his lower legs. These work great for him.
linda h on Jun 23, 2014
My horses stand on a lot of concrete, the boots stay up well and keep the flies off so they are not stomping on the hard surface.
CONNIE U on Jun 18, 2014
Looks like better fit than Cashel type I will see!!!!
Terry S on Jun 17, 2014
Same as the fly sheet She can remove the flyboots faster than I can put them on REB

We have one horse who is sensitive to fly bites on his legs. These boots protect his legs and stay in place when out to pasture.
BABETTE L on Jun 3, 2014
I've had these boots for years and they are the most durable best fitting fly boots Ive found My horses are on pasture constantly in tress and brush and these stay on and clean up well
ANNIE H on Jun 3, 2014
I really like the way these boots work and how they look. They stay in place -- no sagging! They are easy to clean and keep their shape. My horse is turned out with 14 others horses so durability is a MUST!
PAMELA F on May 6, 2014
I have used these in the past and found them to hold up better than some of the higher priced fly boots.

How many is a set of boots?
Karen D on Aug 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There are two boots in each set, so you need two sets to do all four legs. They work great for my horse!
are they the same for the front and back legs?
Charlotte B on Aug 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are the same for the front and back legs. I have 8 horses ranging from ages 3-33; standing 14 h-16.22 hh; 800-1700 lbs.; and they fit all of my horses legs! My 33 year old is a draft cross, but still has dinner plate sized feet and the thick stocky legs with feathers. I don't think they'd fit a Clydesdale or a Shire but definitely a smaller draft! I also have an Arab and a few QH's that also wear these boots. They are a universal size and II've had these boots for 3 summers now. They never fall down and are very sturdy. They mold to your horses legs and don't rib either!
is it a set of 4?
A shopper on May 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is a set of 2. I only needed them for the front legs. They hold up quite well.
Do they come in a 4 pack or 2 pack?
A shopper on Mar 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Kensington usually come in packs of 2
