Best fly sheet I've ever owned! Tough enough to stand everyday turnout and the burs do not stick to it! Also is very well ventilated and my boys hardly sweat at all even in the humid MN weather. Highly recommend! They do run a little short in the back though. I would order one size up.

Does this come with the belly band? Picture doesn't look like it
A shopper on Apr 1, 2014
Best Answer: I found the belly bands on Ebay for about $26. The newer Kensingtons are set up to take the belly band, but you have to add it yourself.

which size/colour comes in at $67.49??
A shopper on Jan 10, 2016
Best Answer: I love this fly sheet however in my opinion you need to order one size up. My Thoroughbreds usually wear a 78 however I wish I had ordered one size up. I have the mask and fly.boots too. Great quality.

It's not cotton right? I thought it was sturdy mesh like the fly masks but I was looking at the color options and most of them looked like they where cotton stable sheets or something. I can't tell if they just use those pictures to show the color options or if that's the actual material?
Bella on May 14, 2017
Best Answer: These are NOT cotton at all. I think the color swatches just look strange because of the photos, but they are not cotton. The fabric is very tough but, but mine has a small hole where one of my other horses likes to groom the horse wearing it. Thy aren't indestructible, but as close as it could be without being Kevlar :-)

My girl is two and about 84 inches chest to bum. Should I stick with a 84 or go up? I'm reading also belly straps don't come with the fly sheet are there straps to go around the back legs? Or do I have to buy those separately too?
Hannah R on Apr 26, 2017
Best Answer: The 84" fits my large TB gelding very well. He has prominent withers and is built like a Warmblood. (He measures 84") There are 2 straps in the back that I crisscross. There is one belly strap. I have not noticed any rub marks while using this sheet. I went up one size for my Appaloosa gelding as he is more of a rounded Quarter horse type. My TB is very sensitive to flies so I make sure to spray his belly and between his back legs with a good fly repellent. There are 4 buckle rings on the inside in the belly area where you can add the Kensington KPP Belly Band for Textilene Protect Sheet. I found that on Amazon but as I have geldings I currently don't use it. I'm very happy with this sheet for both my guys. I also have the boots but I found they need to be removed daily or they turn and the rough fabric can cause some skin irritation.

I live in AZ and my poor paint is getting so burned but I cant leave him in a stall he turns it into a swamp (vet has checked his peeing problem & sunburns). Here we get 110 + days and no humidity. Will the polyester mesh be to hot for him? Thanks
LAUREN R on Aug 13, 2015
Best Answer: The polyester fly sheet works quite well under normal weather conditions. It doesn't seem to add to the heat. It does allow for more airflow than some other sheets. However, under such extreme heat/sun you are experiencing I cannot attest to its efficiency. Personally I would not cover my horses in anything. Lots of water, lots of shade, and fans is what I would do rather than covering them up. Sorry I can't offer more. Lesley

Are these regular cut or european cut??
A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
Best Answer: I don't know what cut, but it was too big in the chest for my 15h Arabian gelding I bought a 72. My Arab mare is smaller frame and is wearing a 70. It fits fine. the 70 was too small for my gelding. So that's why I went to a 72. Disappointing to say the least because my gelding still doesn't have a sheet that works.

How to measure for size when purchasing a fly sheet ?
A shopper on Jul 3, 2015
Best Answer: Stand your horse as square as possible. Measure from the center of the chest around the side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If your horse ends up measuring between sizes, choose the one closest to your measurement unless your horse is particularly big-bodied.
Measuring is usually best done with a helper and a soft or cloth measuring tape. Take the measurement twice to be sure.

how do you measure for fit?
A shopper on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: Measure your horse for the correct blanket size by following these easy guidelines:
1) Stand your horse square.
2) Place your measuring tape at the center of the chest.
3) Measure from the middle of the chest to the center of the tail one side. and that is the horse's blanket size.
