I bought this for my 7 year old Percheron who has issues of wanting to 'run away' when I'm trying to lounge-line her. Up till now, I've always had to use the round pen to contain her. I have only used it one so far but she did much better at a canter #still have lots to work on with that# and she did AWESOME at the trot. I'm sure as time goes on, she'll get better and better.

I absolutely love this halter. Not to stiff, and fits my 15 hand quarter horse perfect. Colors are pretty too! The side rings look a little cheap, but they have never failed me.

Great Product, Even Better Price
Great halter! It's a little big for my yearling, but I know she'll grow into it nicely. I love the weight and the stiffness of the rope. I think it will even make a good training tool when I first ride my horse.

do I need a specific sizing?

BEST ANSWER: Hi there, I bought one of these and it's great! When I bought it it said "one size fits all" and I'd say it fits most horses except large horses like WB and Bigger Breeds In general. I have an Australian Stock Horse who is quite small and it fits him well, and I also have a 16h TB who it just fits too!! so really it fits Cob/Full but not extremely large fulls. Hope this helps and good luck! :)
Would it be possible to offer this product in different sizes? I have cob size horses, and all the average sized halters are too large for them. Thank you.

BEST ANSWER: Most rope halters are adjustable/one size fits all. They do not fit like web halters; not intended to. My mare has a large head and at 32 years old a long muzzle....(Yes we still work on ground work). But may I suggest you try a friend's rope halter for "average-sized" horses, first to get an idea of adjustment and fit. I truly like mine and it fits my horse just fine.
my mare is super light in the face (reining horse handle) and prefers not to have a bit in her mouth, would this work? i ride her in a rope halter currently, but would like something like this

BEST ANSWER: They work OK, but I prefer a side-pull hackamore it training hackamore which is also sold by it's about $20 I think. I also have a Dr cook bitless bridle that I really like, but those are more expensive.
