Great Snaffle Bit
I bought 2 of these snaffle bits. I love them, and so do my horses. They are beautiful bits and look very well made. I have 6 other snaffle bits and non of them suited me and my horse as well as these do.

I really like this product. It worked really well for my horse... although he didn't take the bie that well the first time. Still really good though.

Awesome
This eggbutt snaffle can be used for english and western. I'm using it in western right now to teach my old gelding how to neck rein, so we can get to the curb. I like the eggbutt better than the o ring because it doesn't pinch and the d ring also. I highly recommend it over any other snaffle.

I am having my fifteen month old colt trained, and the trainer told me about this bit. It is what he always starts a young horse with.

Is a curb strap needed with this bit?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. Never use a curb strap with a snaffle. It’s purpose is to be a simple easy bit.
What size are the rings?
A shopper on Mar 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t have the bit in my possession so can’t measure precisely, but I’m going to say they’re about 2.5”, interior measurement, going off my memory. I hope that helps!
Does this have curved mouth pieces, or are they straight?
A shopper on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are slightly curved.
Is the 4 3/4" or the 5" standard for Quarter Horses on this copper eggbutt snaffle?
A shopper on May 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That depends on is it a foundation quarter horse (shorter stockier) or the taller, lankier kind. My foundation wore between a 4 1/2 and a 43/4, but I'd say most of the bigger quarter horses would take a 5. Hope this helps!!
Is it a smooth snaffle?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes! No twists or anything. It's designed to be very mild.
