Not for a horse who chews the bit
I had one of these bits that lasted for 20 years when I was a professional trainer/breeder/judge. I finally pitched it when the rubber dried out, but it worked for dozens of horses. This bit lasted 15 minutes. I put it on a headstall, got on the horse, and 15 minutes changed to a hackamore. He had chewed completely through the bit on both sides exposing the center chain.Great tool if your horse doesn't chew...

Well..
My horse really didn't like the taste. Its ruber so of coarse it taste like tires. Over all a good product for young horses

Poor Quality
Discription says solid rubber, it is not. Used it once and my horse bit thru it in two places showing it as hollow core. Would not recommend this product.

great starter
great first bit for starting. wont hurt their mouth or hit and hurt their teeth when your taking it out. i dont ride in it but i use it to just get them use to the bit and the horses dont mind it.
