Lockable Storage Feed Bin

As described except only holds 4 bags of 50# horse feed, not 300#. Would hold more if poured in loose. Good concept.

A bit pricey, but very sturdy

Maybe I'm just not good at packing 50 pound feed bags into a container, but I could comfortably store only 4 bags of feed (200 lbs.). Some reviews said 300 lbs (6 bags), but not me. Anyway, I do like the box for keeping the extra bags safe and convenient. I put it on a solid bottom furniture dolly. So, after a feed run, I just wheel it over to the back of the truck and slide the bags in! Then roll it back to its spot in the garage. A lot easier than what I used to have to do with the extra bags (down and up basement steps)! It does seem to be well made and should last quite a few years.

These are good quality bins, I now have two. I?m using them for storing feed in the bag at the moment. Six forty pound bags of chicken crumbles fit in one bin with some room to spare, they would obviously hold more with the grain loose and hold fewer bigger bags of horse feed. I don?t find they warp when filled but I do have them on a pallet on a level cement floor. What I don?t love about the bins are a lack of a weather seal; they are not in the elements but more protection would be nice. The cable on the lid instead of the previous versions hinged arm is a step down in quality. The cable gets constantly caught in the lid when I close the bins and I frequently have to unclip the lids and stuff them back in. Also, the latch hasp folds up instead of down and without a snap hook they hang open. There doesn?t seem to be any good reason to attach them this way except that the size of the latch versus the design of the bin doesn?t leave room to attach it any other way. At any rate, I bought two so I obviously like them overall. I?ve had no trouble with rodents getting into my feed since these bins were put into use. I appreciate the ability to really sanitize plastic versus a DIY wood bin. Plus, I like the green color and they make my feed area look much tidier.

We really like this particular storage container very much! Just right for the barn. I only wish it weren't so expensive. Still, we bought two.

So far it is working out well. Would like another one, but the shipping is very high. The box weighs only about 33 pounds, I get free shipping from chewy, and they sometimes weigh over 50 pounds.

Not as solid as previous feed bin that was purchased a few years ago but still solid. I can fit easily 4-5 50lb bags of grain in it. I feel the lock should have been put on the other way up.

Great product, tough and durable

We ordered 2 of theses and when they first arrived I thought there was no way they would hold 300# of pelleted feed. Well they did and I would recommend them. They work great.
