Decent hoof pick, could be sharper
I have only used this hoof pick a couple times but it gets the job done and is indestructible. From the pictures I was hoping it had a more tapered end for getting into the frog better. We have some really thick clay in our area and it turns to cement. This has the typical flat edge. But it works for average cleaning and you can really pry with it.

Slick
This hoof pick is pretty handy. It stays put so it's where you need it when you need it. It fits in your hand surprisingly well and it's not flimsy. I'm glad I bought 2!

magnetic hoof pick
Very easy to hold and use. Magnetic makes it easy to use and find. Nicely attaches to any metal. Good product to have.

This pick gets the job done!
I'm a full time farrier and I wear out one of these hoof picks a year. It's the only one that can truly clean out a hoof that is needing to be trimmed.

Handy when you need it, where you need it
This is my second magnetic pick. One is on the round pen and has stayed there for a couple of years. The second is going on my trailer door. The magnet is pretty strong and we have never had it fall off on it's own even with some 70 plus MPH winds around here.

Best Hoof Pick on the Market
I bought one when I started my professional farrier business. As a horse owner, I've tried tons of hoof picks over the years. The screw driver end ones don't get down in the crevices, the ones with the brush on them are flimsy, and the expensive ones, while ergonomical, don't address either of the original hoof pick design flaws.Magnapics get down deep in the crevices and are strong enough to pick through even the hardest packed dirt with just a few strokes. They clean the cracks out more thoroughly than anything. The handle could be a little more ergonomical, but is actually surprisingly quite comfortable for continued use.I wish they came in a brighter color, but I've found hot pink duck tape really helps them stand out on the ground. With the magnet you can stick it anywhere handy! Inside the steel trailer door, on the fence, stall bars, on the hoof stand, etc. I thought the feature was silly until owned one, I LOVE it!

my favorite hoof pick ever
I rarely take the time to review products but I can easily say that this is worth the money. I hate the picks that have brushes because the pick never really seems like a good quality. This one is also a good size where the traditional picks sometimes feel small. Magnets make it easy to just stick to the stall door for a quick pick in and out:)I haven't purchased this recently but will soon as the last made it through about 8 years until it was lost.

I just lost mine. I like this hoof pick better than any I've ever had.

The long pick makes this hoof pick the best hoof pick for cleaning out hard packed dirt or hard packed snow from the hoof. The flat profile of the pick makes it easy to slip in a back pocket of a pair of jeans to keep it handy. The magnet on the hoof pick is great for sticking a hoof pick on each horse's stall grate.
