Purchased the apple flavor, not the peppermint. Horses withdrew their heads at first nugget.

The horses really like the butterscoth flavor.
We have a filly that is quite independent and finicky so using treats to give her a reward was something we searched for. However, we had trouble locating some that she liked we tried carrots, apples, apple flavored biscuits, maple flavored biscuits and peppermint finally we found she does like the butterscotch, yay! We now have a tool to use that she responds well to as we continue her training.

These treats are the favorite in the barn.
Horses of all kinds at the barn I ride at love them! Even at other barns (where I have trained other horses), love them. I have never met a horse that didn't like them. I even feed them to my Mammoth Donkey, too. Of course in moderation, though. I don't want him to founder! Just make sure the horse you give them to are allowed to have sugar.

My horses love these and I fell save giving them because they are small. I don't worry about the horses choking.

"GOOD BOY" just doesn't mean much to him, but an occasional mint... he'll work for that.

whAt is the sugar contact?
walter b on Dec 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Do you mean sugar content? Ingredients do list cane molasses, so there is sugar. It is listed fifth in the ingredient list order. The 2nd item listed, soybean hulls, is 20%, so you can surmise that the cane molasses is lower than 20%. Manna Pro says you can feed up to 2 lbs per day per horse without derailing a diet. Seems a bit high for my preferences; however, my horses would tell you that 2 lbs per horse is rather low.
