is this product a powder or pellets ?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It"s a powder. My horse liked it when added to feed.
The cup that comes in the 5 lb. canister of Calmex V Is it one ounce? or what. you sent no instructions as to how to use it, I am assuming one cup per day? Also I have read 1/2 to 3/4 twice a day, but I can only feed once a day.

BEST ANSWER: I have not tried this product yet, but I plan to. I, too, am only able to feed once a day; however, because this supplement is pretty much entirely vitamins and minerals with the herb, valerian, using it once a day should be effective in the long term, too. While valerian does have immediate calming effects, all of the vitamins and minerals work by improving health and condition.

I plan to do the larger dose for my small Quarab one time daily and make a point of giving him an extra dose (at an earlier time) on days when I plan to ride or work with him. This combination of vitamins, minerals and herbs is very solid in terms of natural, alternative treatment of anxiety. It should work well, and I'm looking forward to starting him on it.
