Product Summary:

Med-Vet Flies-A-Way™

Flies-A-Way™ contains all natural ingredients to help repel biting insects.  Diatomaceous Earth is added to help prevent fly larvae from hatching in the manure. Diatomaceous Earth is an all-natural element used for over 400 years to help control insects. When fed, the product passes through the horses system into the manure. The sharp edges of the DE cut the outer layer of the insects exoskeleton causing dehydration.

Safe for pregnant/lactating mares with a foal?
A shopper on Jan 5, 2015
Best Answer: Somewhere on the bucket it should say, whether it is safe for pregnant or lactating mares. It should also say if it safe for the foal and what age it can be fed to the baby. If you can find nothing saying that it is safe for mom and/or baby, I would definitely call my vet and ask him/her if it is safe. Worse come to worse I would not feed it if it says nothing and you can't get a good answer, don't feed it, find a safe product suitable for the mare and foal. They are too precious to take a chance on feeding a product that may or may not be safe for them.

Is this a pellet or powder?

Best Answer: This is a pellet. Kind of strong smelling, but my cows and goats eat it when mixed with a very small amount of sweet feed.
