nice
I like it ,I have a American paint she is smaller by a hand or two.I think there needs to be another hole on the nose band and on the side. Other than that it is wonderful. It is especially nice for shows, and the wool is supper. I used a halter but a thorn got stuck in it once and striped her skin supper badly. But this makes wonders.

Sturdy, but doesn't work for me.
I got think in hope to give my horse some comfort away from my Clinton Anderson lunge halter. Very sturdy for nylon and it was a little big for my 16 hand TB, but I love how it's padded. First time I used it my horse was responsive, but ignored me more so than usual. I have him to the point to where I can almost lunge him with no line and he listens more then. Thinking it was the first time and it was no big deal, but second time around he ignored me even more and I was pulling on him pretty hard to get him to listen which I never have to do. I would recommend this if your horse has no problems (older, school horse, no problems) and you lunged them to dispel any excess energy or something. Not if you are going for good training on a green or problematic horse. I'm just gonna stick to my Clinton halter...

I like this product
It's very sturdy. It is a bit large. I had to put extra holes in the noseband. Also, if you're looking for leverage with a difficult horse, this isn't what you want. The padding makes it comfy, which makes the horse happy. But if your horse pulls, this won't discourage it as much as other cavesons. But, I figure, if your horse is leaning on the line and pulling, you've missed something in your training, and it's better to go back and correct that than to go out and buy something harsher.

Oddly sized
This is a good product for the price, but it oddly sized. I have a 15.1 hand AQHA mare with an average sized head. I have the cheek pieces on the tightest holes, and the nose band and throat latch on the loosest. So, if it fits your horse, this is a decent product for the price.

Good price
Bought this just to try it out. Way too big for my Thoroughbred's head. Had to add extra holes and still it's not right. Way too much length on the throatlatch.

Can the noseband be detached from the caveson and put on a bridle?

BEST ANSWER: I don't think so. It is like a regular halter noseband, so it is all one piece. You have to operate on it & do some alterations to fit it on a bridle.
