No metal hardware!
Love it! Especially given it has no metal hardware to rust, snap, or annoy my horse!

Nice long lead line
Super reasonable price and longer than many lead ropes. A good choice if you're looking for something without hardware. Not too bulky at the attachment loop, compared to other lead ropes.

Great Lead Rope for a Excellent Price
If your expecting a high quality lead rope, like Double Diamond do not think that is what you are getting. But boy oh boy is it worth the $10! Definitely comparable with those guys! Love it!

Excellent Lead Rope
This is wonderful! Excellent quality, perfect length, nice feel, I cannot say enough good about this lead rope. You can use it with or without a snap, I like it without most of the time, sometimes I will put a snap on though -depends on what we are doing. I bought two and hope to buy more in the near future. We use rope halters only and this works great with them. We have been using them for a month now (we have four horses) and they still look like new, using them almost every day.We have used many other lead ropes for the same price and they don't look nearly as nice and hold up extremely poorly.

Almost perfect
I LOVE this lead! I use it to loop through rope halters on my youngsters and "pull-back" horses, as every metal hardware is a weak point in a halter/lead rope combo. The price is amazing, the length is great, the loop through loop is WELL spliced in, if I want to regain the convenience of a clip, I simply attach a carabiner to the loop and hang a clip on it. Makes no sense to do this, as I have plenty of lead ropes with clips attached though. I wish the actual rope was a pure cotton braid, it's still a little slick feeling, but 4 1/2 stars for sure on this product!!!!

Best lead rope buy
This is definitely the best lead rope made. Stays soft, yet very strong. The loop makes it easy to attach to any halter or a large snap of your choice. Length is just right for longeing before mounting up. Won't buy any other lead ropes from now on!

Compare to high-priced clinician leads
Nice solid lead, very similar to the thicker clinician leads at less than half the price. I do wish it came without the loop braided into the halter end, it's a little stiffer than I would like there, but really not a big deal. These are much better than the cheap, lightweight poly rope leads that most rope halters tend to come with.

I love the weight and feel of these types of leads/ reins. It has just the right amount of flex and swing, and a little more weight to it that poly leads.

love love love this!! I work with a lot of different level trained horses and love how easy this rope handles and the length is perfect and price is great! thanks God Bless! =)

They are longer than a standard lead which is so handy for many reasons, great quality and if you really want a snap (I don't, my husband does) you can put one on them. They make great "take down" leads for trail riding if you don't want to use a halter under your bridle too! GREAT price!

What is the length and is this 1/2 or 5/8 inch?

BEST ANSWER: Size:
5/8” x 10 1/2 ft.
how is lead rope connected ?
A shopper on Jul 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The loop end of the lead rope is put through the lead rope hole of the horse's halter. Then the other end of the lead rope (has the leather popper) is slid through the loop end of the lead rope. Pull the end of the lead rope through the lead rope loop until it is secure around the rope hole of the halter.
What color is this lead? I can't tell if its dark brown or black. :(
Sara B on Nov 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Mine are black. They are great leads. Long and strong. They have no snap so you double them back through the loop and that makes them better than a snap in my mind. I love these leads. I bought a whole bunch of them. They are a steal at this price. They are perfect for leaving on a rope halter while trail riding and long enough to tie around a tree when you stop for lunch!
how long is this lead?

BEST ANSWER: 10.5 ft
